A. If you cannot put color on the walls, then put it where you can. The next biggest expanse in a bedroom is the bed, so look for a really colorful bedding set.

If you like colorful glass pieces, check out IKEA's website. The blues, greens and reds in their glass vases and candle holders are quite vibrant. While you are there, do check out their area rugs as well - They have quite a few that are really affordable.

Its a queen size bed. and i have everything in the last picture but the tall one that has like 5 drawers in the very back (so basically, i have the dresser, nightstand, and bed). I am a 13 yr old girl by the way. I was thinking like kinda the retro cube look (kinda like this: http://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photo-retro-cube-background-image7495725 for the bed maybe, but the cubes red and the background white ) for the bedset, and the curtians similar maybe? Im not sure about curtians. I have just a one panel window, but its really tall. i already have a red mini-coca cola fridge, and a nogalistic (i know i spelled that wrong) popcorn machine. do you think this would all look good together, along with the old movie posters like the ones here ( http://www.cinemasterpieces.com/ ) ? any other suggestions, or things i could do to make this theme work better? or any other themes, lol? thanks! money is not really an object here by the way.

A. It looks like your going for the 50's look, a bit like the old diner use to be.
The bedding looks great, but you dont have to get curtains to match. If the window is long and thin how about a venetion blind.( maybe in red)
A red retro radio would go great with the other objects you have, or how about finding a few old records, or record sleeve covers that you could put in picture frames just for that little bit of kitch.

Q. Hi. I have the Master Bedroom, and ive lived here for 8 months so far and my room is still the same-boring. it's fairly large and so is the bathroom. I recently bought a bedroom set( queen bed and Dresser with mirror) and im getting a nightstand to match when i redo my room. i had an idea of chocolate (bedroom set color) and white, but things change. I was looking at a dark red but im not sure yet...id love some ideas! Oh and where my dresser is, im going to put 2 doors that lead to a deck/balcony here soon!
