Answer
it would be super comfy with a great looking king size bed that is so soft that i sink on it, apart from bed, i will have a great looking 40 inch tv on the oppsite wall to the bed where i can watch tv when i want, lying down or sitting up

then i would want a huge set of cabinets, either an entertainment center in middle of which my tv is accomodated along with shelves for my dvd and music system and a seperate area for display, i would dedicate the top of my cabinet area for display with a glass where i would display all my miniatures i got from london and dubai and malaysia, they are so cute i wana see them all the time

along with this, there will be an added section for books, of course with glass doors so i can have a look at my precious collection whenever i want, this will completely occupy the opposite wall to the bed and make a great storage area as well, on the othe wall i have my dresser and closet, all 4 corners of the room occupied with good looking and strong bedroom wooden furniture while the middle space i have left empty to walk around with a nice colorful rug to fill it up

i love my room really and its so comfortable for me as my cabinets store away all the things that i want to keep hidden leaving the room neat and organized

Mode of Transportation in Brunei?

Allan Troy

Our entire family will be moving to Brunei. I'd like to know what the mode of transportation is there and how everyday go about. Can you give me an idea with regard to the regular fare to get from one point to another especially in Bandar Seri Begawan? Also apartment rates and daily expenses?

Answer
Living in Brunei is like living in a country side and yet with all the city facilities within you reach.

There is this phrase there 'without a car, as if you have 1 leg broken'.
Seriously you MUST have a car to live over there. Worry not, cars are simply too cheap due to no taxes. I sold my honda civic (8years old) at BND$3K when i left 5 years ago. Thats how cheap it is.

It will be a joke for Bruneian to take public transport, vehicle ownership is four (4) vehicles per household. May i repeat, vehicle ownership is four (4) vehicles per household. They have extensive network of roads and highways.

Dont be surprise, bus services only started somewhere in 1998 on limited routes and are packed with foreign labours. Well, thats what they are meant for.
Taxi services are also available though the no is very much limited and be ready for a shock on the fare. Imagine, less than 50 taxis (fifty) for the whole country and they are mostly at the airport.

Another surprise, they dont live in apartments but detached houses. My previous employer paid BND800 for our 3-bedrooms detached house some 10km away from the city. Thanks to the tax free regime, groceries though 99% imported are still very much reasonably priced. As a guidance, KFC lunch set cost BND7.99 (2 pcs of chix, coleslaw, mashed potato, 12 oz carbonated drink). A buffet dinner at Royal Brunei airport restaurant cost BND39.00 exc drinks, no tax and no tippings.

You can join the Brunei Yatch club to hang around with the foreigners.

Everything is cheaper on the other side of the Malaysian border. Just be prepared to follow the weekly cross-border routine of the foreigners, locals alike. For entertainment/shopping, you can cross the western border to MIRI in Sarawak Malaysia. Some 2.5 hours smooth driving from Bandar Seri Begawan. For a quick drinks, you can reach KUALA LURAH, adjacent to the southern immigration complex in 30 minutes drive from the city. Kota Kinabalu in East Malaysia is a young vibrant city 20 minutes flight away from the city.

I had enjoyed my 10 years of working/living there and wish you all the luck.

What are the total governmental fees if I buy a one bedroom apartment?

Hello, I'll be moving back to Toronto and thinking to buy a one bedroom apartment.Nothing fancy on it just an average small apartment.I'm aware that the apartment owners should pay yearly payments or what you call as fees to the government and my question is how much money will I pay to the government including school tax, garbage tax etc.I'd be very glad if you can help me out

Answer
You don't BUY an apartment. You rent one, usually with a yearly renewable lease. Municipal government (city) taxes, water tax, and garbage tax are usually the responsibility of the owner of the building, not the tenant that rents an apartment in the building. Those costs are included as part of your rent. There should be no provincial or federal taxes imposed.

You would normally be responsible for the school tax, payable to the schoolboard in your area, and the tax will vary depending on the school district. These would normally not be more than $1000 per year, but then again I don't live in Toronto, so not sure exact amounts.

Now if you are referring to a condominium, that's a different story. With that setup, you may be responsible for a portion of the municipal taxes, divided equally among the condo owners. Or it may be included in your condo fees. But again, it varies depending on the building and section of the city you live in. But it's practically impossible to tell you even a rough idea what you might pay because of this variation.

(In case some people are not familiar with this term, a "condo" is kind of like an apartment, but you own your section of the building, and you share costs for expenses to the common parts of the building.)

Can renters who are leaving block bedrooms from being shown to prospective renters?

Patricia

Our current renters are leaving. We gave them a 24 hour notice that we would be showing the house. When we went in to show the house, they blocked the bedrooms from us showing them and said that we would breaking their privacy issues. Can renters really use this to stop us from showing the whole house?

Answer
No they can't do this and they are clearly hiding something but the problem is - what can you do about it, evict them? I'd immediately setup an appointment to vies the place (by yourself) and tell them they must allow you to see the whole unit - per your lease requirements. Hopefully they'll get the message and hide or remove whatever they don't want you to see. Sadly, however, if they still refuse to let you see the rooms I'm not really sure what to do. You could start eviction proceedings (for them breaking lease terms) at a minimum - probably no point but stil not a bad idea.

I am pricing new bedroom sets. I have a queen mattress/boxspring. I've seen platform beds that I like, but none are ever displayed with the box spring. What are the pros/cons of using the box spring on a platform bed?

Answer
You can use a box spring under your regular mattress on a platform bed. The addition of the box spring mattress will just make the bed higher than normal. If that is what you want, there is no reason you can't do it.

How much does it cost to ship apartment furniture across country by rail?

Mike

Looking to ship a bedroom set, coffee table, entertainment stand and a few small boxes across the country from PA to CA. Truck rentals are north of $1500, companies like PODS and so on are way too expensive. I am curious as to how much it could cost shipping via rail instead. Can't really find too much on pricing.

Answer
The days when the railroads shipped small lots (called LCL=less than carload) ended by 1960. Most freight now is carried in multiple car lots under contract. The charges for a single sixty-foot long box car would undoubtedly be more than truck rate and you would have to find a rail siding at origin and destination that would allow loading and unloading for a one-time shipper. Your best bet, outside moving companies, is to look at containers. Contact local freight forwarders and check on rates for renting and shipping a container. Best bet might be to contact PODS (see info below under What's your source?) which provides smaller containers and will also store them until you are ready to unload. They are also used to dealing with domestic consumers on single shipments, while a lot of freight forwarders are business oriented and won't do much to get a one-time shipment. While you may think companies rates are expensive, consider their equipment, fuel, labor and insurance costs. Unless you can find an independent trucker (gypsy) who has already made his money hauling a load from CA to PA and is back-hauling your load to avoid returning empty and therefore willing to give you a cheap price, you will probably not find a bargain rate. Consider selling or donating the furniture locally and replacing it at your new locale, and shipping the few boxes by US Postal Service (before their rates go up to UPS/Fedex levels or they go broke).

I have all black bedroom furniture ( my husband picked it out lol ). I have no idea what color accents or b edding to get. Any suggestions?

Answer
Get lots white room accents (lamps, vases, clocks, etc) with a little colour in there like bright blue or scarlet (in the smaller accents like candles, etc). bedding should be simple if you have lots of colourful accessories, but if you stick with white try something crazy and multi-coloured! Paint the walls a colour that shows up in your bedding (but one that doesn't show up a lot).
Ikea is an excellent store to go to, great design and unbelievable prices. Almost any art museum will actually have nice stuff, too. Target is another good place.

Master bedroom furniture is traditional dark brown (new), what color can I paint walls?

Amateur

Bedroom furniture consits of King size bed, two night stands and nine draw dresser. Considering to have 50" TV over dresser, sitting area and include small kitchenette.

Answer
Hi!

Brown is a neutral color, so basically, you can paint any color under the rainbow with it... it all depends on what you like. There are a few things to remember though, and I have a few suggestions... Hope this helps:

To have complete color harmony in any room, you need to have 3 colors: 1 dominant color (usually the walls), 1 medium color (usually the trim, molding, ceiling, furniture, etc.) and 1 accent color (usually decorative accents such as cushions, vases, throws, etc.). You can use the same color as your funiture as you do on an accent wall or all the walls... it depends on lots of things like your lighting, but we'll get to that later.

In decorating, black and white are not considered colors. White is the absence of all color. That's why you can match it with any color under the rainbow. Black is the mixture of all colors. That's why it too, can be mixed with any color under the rainbow. It's not necessary to have any white in a room, but it is very important that you have at least one black item: a vase, a picture frame, a throw rug, a cushion, a curtain rod, a lamp, etc.... you get the idea). The black will ground ALL of your colors together. So don't forget to add something black in your room.

What color of brown is your furniture: Black-brown (as in very dark espresso coffee), dark chocolate brown, etc. Since you didn't say, here are some color schemes that work with different types of brown furniture. The way to use them is for the 1st color = dominant 2nd color = medium and 3rd color = accent. Of course, you can use them in any other way you like, thought the ones listed here are best together in just this way. (after, you'll get some links to some nice color inspiration).

Chocolate brown & Terra-cotta & Taupe
Chocolate brown & Metallic Gold & Neutral bisque
Chocolate brown & Delicate teal & Teal blue
Chocolate brown & Teal blue & Gernaium red
Chocolate brown & Brick red & Sky blue

Espresso brown & Soft Orange & Coffee with cream
Espresso brown & Aquamarine & Silver
Espresso brown & Blushing Pink & Silver
Espresso brown & Hot pink and Icy Silver
Espresso brown & Candy apple red & Graphite gray
Espresso brown & Cinnamon & Pale sky blue

Light purple & Teal Blue & Geranium red
Cream & Earthy green & Cinnamon
Gold & Copper & Brownish Taupe
Coral brown & Cream & Rich brown
Brilliant yellow & Lavender & Light brown
Orange & Burnt Orange & Brown
Gray brown & Red & Cream
Orange & Dark brown & Metallic gold
Golden yellow & Sky blue & Velvety brown
Aquamarine & Butterscotch gold & dark brown
Cinnamon & Dark brown & Sky blue

This part would have been easier if you would have given us the style of furniture you have, but the pics should help for color inspiration... I hope you enjoy this, because I certainly enjoyed doing the research for this. I LOVE doing this !!!! :)

So... hope that was fun...

The best and most trusted way to find the color for any room, is to take an accessory or decorative item that will be going into that room: the duvet cover, the curtains, a painting, a rug, blinds, shutters, upholstered furniture, a lamp... you get the idea). Choose the item with passion. Make it something that you ABSOLUTELY LOVE, perhaps it was handed down by your great-grandmother or a cherished item you worked hard for. Or make it something that just SCREAMED out your name when you were shopping, so you knew you had to have it! Choose your color pattern from that item. And take it from there.

Keep in mind too, that color is an amazing thing! There's psychology behind color - it can make you have wonderful, relaxing dreams... or it can keep you from falling asleep, especially if you're already a wound-up 6 year old little boy! It can make you feel warm and comfortable, or hot and stifled. It can make you feel nice, fresh and cool - or it can make you feel like parts of you are going to freeze off. Color can be your friend or your enemy. And really, the earth can "shed some light" on us to help decide every color scheme. Here's how:
What direction does your room face - North, South, East or West? It makes a difference. If you've got the sun pounding down on your bedroom window, you'll want to stay away from warm colors, such as reds, yellows, oranges, etc. They'll make you feel too hot. Opt for cooler colors, such as blues, turquoise, cool creams... think mediterranean beach style here. In a room facing North, that doesn't get much light, you'll opt more for warmer colors and brighter colors: yellow, bright pinks, golden hues. Here's a most interesting link about how color affects us psychologicallly:

http://keelynet.com/biology/coloraff.htm

That's all I guess... Hope I helped you choose your color ;-)

You're always welcome to email and I'd enjoy knowing what color scheme you chose...!

This comforter set would look nice with that color. What is nice about the color brown, is you can put many other colors with it. You don't necessarily have to stick with a comforter sets with brown in it.

Where is a good furniture store in Milwaukee?

kathi201

I am looking for a cheap furniture store in milwaukee. I have looked at steinhafels and american and some other big stores but I think that trying some smaller stores might be more helpful. I am looking for a bedroom set and I do not want to spend too much money (probably no more than $1000).

If anybody knows of any furniture outlets or cheap furniture stores please let me know!

Answer
You can try Rubin's. I think they may have gotten pricier but I did get what I think is a nice set there a few years ago and it was about $300.

That's the only personal suggestion I can make.

But have you considered shopping resale? Mke has several resale stores devoted to furniture. I'm not talking about thrift stores, mind you. I'm talking about resale or consignment stores. One northshore store recently opened a used furniture gallery in their building. I don't recall the name but it might have been Armon Koch or something like that. I think it's in Whitefolks Bay.

Ruelle's has been in business for many years.

There really are quite a number of places.

Kitchen stuff is always good to have first and garbage cans, things like furniture can usually wait (you find a lot of uses for Rubbermaid totes and coolers) although a bed is always nice... I found the best thing to do when moving into a new place is to get your bedroom set up first... That way, when the rest of the place is a disaster from moving, you'll have a calm place to escape to...

I have a small bedroom with a black bedroom set-queen bed, nightstand, dresser, and armoire. The walls are white with tan carpet. I went out and purchased a sateen black down comfort with a set of soft pink sheets but Im not sure Im going to be able to use it because there is just way way to much black. Can anyone suggest any ideas. Im just wanting a room that is pretty soft and romantic. I love the new furniture but I dont have any idea on how to decorate with it. Im not a "red" person, its never been one of my favorite colors. Any ideas on whether i should return the comforter and sheets and start over? I have no accents pieces yet so Im starting fresh.

Answer
pink works with black, tan works with pink, but I am not sure if you want to try all three. Maybe pull back on the pink to small items like alarm clock, bookends and such. Tan or white would be the best bet for the rest of the room. If you can paint, try a tan for 3 walls, leave 1 white and any trim white( paint is cheap and if you are renting be sure to ask first). You may want to use a throw blanket and some light decorative pillows on top of the bed to break up the black and try table runners or doylies on top of your cases. But if you are tight on money, Return the comforter and sheets to try something different.Maybe plain black and white will be pleasing, kinda go art-deco.

Jax101

My husband and I have a rather successful side project buying furniture for great deals on craigslist and then reselling them after minor repairs. We mostly stick to sectionals and couches but recently scored an entire bedroom set (king bed, 2 nightstands, dresser with mirror) for $300. The set itself is in great condition, its modern and sleek, no flaws and from Ashley home furniture. We can easily resell for $600 (we live in a large city). However, we also saw a posting for a newer mattress and bed spring set for $130 that they are selling due to moving. In your opinion- would you more likely buy a king bedroom set with mattress and box spring for $1000 or without for $600-800? Keep in mind this is craigslist and everything is always used. I appreciate your opinion.

Answer
I am sitting on a king mattress I bought off craigslist.

How much does a girls bedroom set sell for?

Chiquitrix

The bedroom set includes a twin bed frame (matress not included), a nightstand with 2 drawers, and a desk with a pull out (for possible computer keyboard) and has 3 drawers. The bedroom furniture is all in white and has been used. What would be a rough estimate on what it would sell for? (craigslist)
Thanks in advance :)

Answer
Basic rule of thumb is: 1/4 of what it cost when it was new.

The actual cost when it was new will depend on the quality of the wood and of the construction. For instance, are the drawer joints dovetailed? Is it solid wood (and what kind of wood), veneered, or painted particleboard? There is a huge possible price range of what such furniture might cost.

Used white bedroom furniture set, as described. Assume the parents are not wealthy and didn't buy high-end furniture. Probably $100-125 value for the whole lot. Less for damage, staining, chips, etc.

I'm getting my room re-done, but not sure how I want it.
Does anyone know where I can get bedroom accessories, which are funky and like they belong in hollywood? haha
Or maybe a vintage themed room.

Answer
The post-war and early 1950's were the hottest years in Hollywood. Art Deco styling was on it's way into living rooms and the silver screen! The beauty and talents of Bette Davis, Carole Lombard, Lauren Bacall and Rita Hayworth were sophisticated and glamorous.

Every woman wanted a beautiful sanctuary of femininity and luxury. (we still do!)

Textures and colors were "borrowed" from the Victorian period, but not so stuffy.

But a MUST for every lady of the house was a vanity . A white vanity with an attached mirror where she could apply her make-up, style her hair, and adjust her diamonds and pearls before going out.
The vanity was probably white with a few gold-leaf embellishments. The small stool where she sat to admire herself was surely upholstered with a pale pink silk brocade cushion. Her silver brush set shared the vanity top with simple, but elegant perfume bottles filled with her favorite scents and dressed with atomizers.

Her bed was adorned with a champagne colored silk or satin brocade comforter and mountains of matching pillows. Across the end of the bed was a mink throw blanket for extra warmth or to toss around her shoulders if she needed to get up.to take a late night call from her director.
There was a lovely chrystal lamp on the night stand. And two bedroom chairs upholstered in (you guessed it) tufted silk brocade.(pink.

What? You don't have a mink throw for your added comfort? Easily remedied by a trip to a fabric store for fake fur, Sew a backing of soft ultra suede to it

Put on your pink satin slippers (with the feathered puffs on the toes) lie down on the lounge sofa and read the script
Oh, and pick up a gold star at Pier 1 for the outside of your door!

There are three things used in elevators because of the constant use/abuse they receive. Finished metal (usually powder coated), high pressure laminate (super Formica) and vinyl wallpaper. A hallway and or stairs always gets used twice (once going - once returning) and you are always close to the walls. When you add in the fact that hallways are non-entities (when was the last time you said "I'm going to the hallway and then to the bedroom?") or a forgotten step in getting from a to b. A subtle faux finish vinyl paper can help set up whatever is coming after it without drawing too much attention to itself, and it will last 5 years longer than you should leave it up. The average life of good vinyl paper is 4 to 6 paint jobs! Good Luck!

Cafe-themed bedroom decor ideas?

I'm a huge Jeff Buckley fan and am redesigning my bedroom with a NY coffeehouse/cafe theme (somewhat inspired by Live at Sin-e). I'm painting my room navy blue, and I'm looking for a comforter and some other decor ideas. I'm going to get some coffee scented candles and I just got a nice new stereo, but I need some other ideas for this. Any ideas are appreciated, especially help finding a fitting comforter. Thanks!

Answer
Are you sure you want navy blue walls? Unless your room is very large, navy blue walls will make your room look very small. It will also be a pretty dark room so make sure to use a lot of light colored accessories.

Personally, I think tan walls would look better and tie into your theme better. I'd use a color like Sherwin Williams Chilled Champagne with off white trim. I would make navy/brown/beige white your color palette.

I would get simple bedding. If the walls are navy, I would get beige or brown bedding. If the walls are beige, I would get navy getting. Keep it simply with something that combines beige/navy with white. No flowers or bold prints:

http://www.amazon.com/Pieces-Caprice-Coffee-Comforter-Double/dp/B001GXASD4
http://www.target.com/Home-Hotel-Comforter-Set-Tan/dp/B001JIAUBQ
If you really want a pattern, go simple:

I would get a hanging chalkboard (very coffee house):
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24572626
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20157368
Coordinate the ribbon with you bedding

I would get a decal for over your bed, either song lyrics http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6837128&section_id=6071980 (this seller could probably do a custom Jeff Buckley lyric) or music notes http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20185795&ref=sr_gallery_12&&ga_search_query=decal+lyrics&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=date_desc&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title Either way, get a color that contrasts with your wall white or off white for tan, dark brown for beige, etc.

I like this for a bedside lamp:
http://www.bellacor.com/productdetail/467011.htm

Then get 3-5 posters of your favorite bands and stick them in frames that match the color of your furniture.

I fell in love with this comforter the second i saw it. I really don't want to paint my room the green-yellow color that's on the comforter because its just not my favorite color. I love the color purple but i know that color doesn't complement the comforter.

Also if you have any suggestions for wall decorations that would be great! im really open to anything the more opinions the better :)

Q. I just bought a new bedroom set all in the color of dark brown and I'm currently looking for a pair of bedside lamps to go on the night stands. What color works well with dark brown?

Answer
You really don't want dark brown lamps because that's be too much brown. And black is out because black and brown don't look good together. A light brown or tan would look good with the bedding, or maybe white. I hope I helped:)

My husband has an old furniture set (chest, dresser, mirror and headboard) from the 80s. It served as our furniture when we got married and for baby furniture for both of our kids when they were little. It's sturdy, but very dated. What should I price it for?
I'd like to just give it away, but my husband insists it should be sold. I think he's being unrealistic, but I've never sold furniture before.

Any hints on what you've paid for an out-of-style yet very sturdy and well built set of bedroom furniture?

Answer
If you're in no hurry to sell it:

I'd suggest getting a few good photos and placing it on craigslist, maybe $100 per piece if in good condition ($400-500 total?).

If you don't get a response after one week, close down the ad and put up another one for $50 less.

Continue until you start receiving inquiries :)

Should my doublewide mobile have heating vents on the floor in every room?

Charlie

I bought a doublewide mobile home in April. I had laminate flooring put in the bedrooms and living room by a handyman. I didn't notice the spare bedroom getting freezing cold in the spring when I bought this place. It's a 80s model with a pitched roof. Maybe there was a vent in that spare room and the flooring guy covered it up. Anyway, when I keep that door shut to that bedroom, so it dips down into the 40s. There's a horrible draft coming from under the door. Should there be a vent in that room. When I open the room to the door, the heater has to be set higher. I'm running the new heater at about 86 all day and all night when that bedroom door is shut. Did all mobiles in the 80s have vents in every room and if so, by not having one in the bedroom, will it cause problems other than it being ice cold? By the way, since I moved in, I had to buy a brand new furnace because the other one was red tagged by Consumer Energy, http://www.consumersenergy.com/ .
The temperature in that room drops into the 40s, not the entire house.
The prior furnace I had when I moved in was leaking carbon monoxide poisoning.

Answer
By code, there has to be a service vent in every habitable room. I would do what Skippy advised and try and locate one under the mobile home. If you can't find one, you may need to get one installed if you can't do it yourself. It will be cheaper in the long run to get a vent put in that room, than to pay the heating costs (or lose access to that room because you don't want to open the door).

What duties and taxes must i pay if i want to import furniture products such as bedroom sets and living room sets hotubs... and things similar to that. I am picking them up for my seaport in Portland, OR. I'm asking because I would like to start a business in the U.S selling furniture but must bring my products from overseas.

Answer
The below information comes from page 3 of the below enclosed website for your use at this time and it does have 19 pages.

http://www.msbdc.org/publications/importing/USimportrequirements.pdf

Arrival of Goods
Imported goods may not legally enter U.S. commerce until the shipment has arrived within the
port of entry and Customs has authorized delivery of the merchandise. This is normally
accomplished by filing the appropriate documents, either by the importer or by the importer's
agent. To expedite this process, Customs entry papers may be presented before the merchandise
arrives, but entry will not take place until the merchandise arrives within the port limits.
The Customs Service does not notify the importer of the arrival of the shipment. The carrier
of the goods usually makes notification of arrival. Arrangements should be made to ensure that
the importer or their agent is informed immediately of arrival so that the entry can be filed and
delays in obtaining the goods avoided.
The Customs Service defines "entry" not merely as the arrival of goods at a port, but as the
process of presenting documentation for clearing goods through Customs. Imported merchandise
not entered through Customs in a timely manner (within 15 calendar days of arrival) is sent by
Customs to a general order warehouse to be held as unclaimed. The importer is responsible for
paying storage charges while unclaimed merchandise is held at the warehouse. If it remains
unclaimed at the end of six months, the merchandise is sold at auction.
Page 5
Classification determines how much duty will be collected. Classification is more than simply
looking up an item in an index. It is a very complicated process requiring the application of the
General Rules of Interpretation; the section, chapter and subheading notes; and the Explanatory
Notes. The importer is responsible for properly classifying his merchandise before entry. If he is
not sure how to properly classify an item, he can submit a request, in writing, for a binding
classification ruling to the National Commodity Specialist Division, U.S. Customs, Attn:
Classification Ruling Requests, New York, NY 10048. The rulings will be binding at all ports of
entry unless revoked by the Headquarters' Office of Regulations and Rulings. If an importer is
not satisfied with the binding ruling received from New York, he or she can appeal it to the
Headquarters' Office of Regulations and Rulings, Washington, DC 20229. The Customs Service
will not issue binding rulings in response to oral requests.
Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 10/29/2013

Girl and boy sharing bedroom decorating advice?

Sierra L

My two kids. are 7 year olds and will be sharing a room. One a girl and one a boy. What are some cute bedroom sets that will go together well or were meant to be together, that will look great in their room.

Answer
I wouldn't go with a theme, I would make it colorful, like paint the walls and have neutral curtains and light fixtures but I would be sure that they each had a shelf or some kind of storage to call their own that they can have their things on. I would keep the bedspreads the same color but put pillows and little touches that are different on the beds. For example, a red ladybug pillow for her and a red car pillow for him. The ideas are endless in my head right now. I'm sure you'll come up with something great and they'll love it. Take care.

This is for long term rent obviously. I would prefer it closer to the city center and if anyone could also tell me how much a 1 bedroom would be that would be good too.

Answer
A two bed is classed as a three room apartment and when you see the prices, you might consider a studio (1 room) or 1 bed (2 room) instead.

Rents have dropped a little since the exodus of expats over the last couple of years, but a renovated shoebox will still set you back $1500 a month. I personally like Tsvetnoy Boulevard Area, but could never afford to live there.

How can I stay and work in Ireland?

taylorpsu

One of my friends and I are planning on moving to Ireland for a gap year. Where would be the best place for us to move? We would like to find jobs and rent an apartment. We are looking for a fairly cheap area. It does not matter to use if we are in a city or not but we would like to be relatively close to some fun nightlife. Anything you could give us would be great. If you know about any place to 19 year olds could work that would be amazing also. Also I was looking into going to university there or taking a few classes so any suggestions on that would be nice too.

Answer
Well done for wishing to try out this beautiful island!
You could find yourselves a bit spoiled for choice. There are many places to consider so you may want to research each to make your minds up. The good thing is, you can get around the whole island fairly easily and you wherever you set up base, be sure to visit all the main culture centres.
All cities here have their good bits and bad, cheap and upmarket. Here in Belfast where I live is fantastic, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
If you are not too fussy there are furnished apartments or 2 bedroom houses for as little as £300 p.c.m.
However, furnished might mean just a sofa and a single bed in an otherwise empty house so always check exactly what you're paying for and you can often negotiate your lease to run month to month.
There are 2 Universities in Belfast you might want to check out. The first is Queens University, which is located close to the city centre. It has so much going on there, you should look it up. The building itself is beautiful but I'm biased because I went there!
The other is the University of Ulster. There are campus' around Northern Ireland, but again the Belfast campus is in the city centre. Student life in Belfast can be wild at times but it is what you
make it. I am proud to say Belfast is one of the safest ( yes, safest!! ) cities in the U.K. and Ireland.
As for work, all the major supermarkets absolutely love students so that shouldn't be a problem! Pick up an application form from customer services like I did. And if like me your luck is in, you'll start 3 days later!
Hope some of this has been helpful. Belfast loves to welcome people from all across the globe and friendlier warmer people you will not meet.
Its a great base to explore the entire island. You can get to Dublin in about 1hr 30. Cork is beautiful, my wife lived there for 5 years. If you like fishing, Galway and Mayo are fantastic. Fermanagh has loads to do. Basically everywhere on this island has something so pick a good base and take in as much of it as you can. I suppose I should mention flights to Europe are cheap from Ireland so you can always nip off to Paris, Rome or Madrid for a weekend too. I'm telling you, you will not want to leave these shores once you arrive. I know. I moved here from the Netherlands in 1995 and haven't looked back!
Best of luck and I wish you and yours all the very best!

i already know about PB teen. and my theme is blue/green. if your room are these colors, please post of pic of your room. my bedroom is kinda small but i am moving into a medium size room. please help!

Answer
Okay, pick 3-4 colors to base your look on. It could be more greens and blues, and maybe a cream color in this case. What I think you could do is pick two colors for the curtains. One for the sheer ones, and one for the solid, so you can have a Choice for whatever mood you're in. Don't paint your walls all one color. You'll get bored real fast. (Trust me, I know this) take three of the colors from your list and paint two walls (I suggest across from each other) the same color, and two more the other colors. Tie in some blue greens into the furniture that go with the walls, but are not the same exact colors, add some mirrors, maybe some flowers, and your room is good to go! Hope you like the idea!

I have and all brick ranch built in 1964 and about 1800sqft, there is no masters just three small bedrooms and two baths one up and one bath down. I was thinking of adding a master above the house or convert the garage. How much do you think it will cost me in Atlanta, GA and which way would be cheaper, convert the garage or add on top of the house?

Answer
Hello. My name is Richie. I am an electrician and a home improvement expert. I will help you the best I can. I am a professional electrician and a PT electrical associate for Lowes in Fayetteville.
I live near Atlanta, Fayetteville actually, and if you need me to, I can come and give you and estimate.
You will have many contractors that will hit you for several thousand dollars. I myself don't do home improvements for a glorious amount of money. I did one job at a Think Sushi in downtown Atlanta that was quoted at over $15,000. I did it for $3000.
First you need to determine where you want it. Upstairs? Is it an attic and will it hold up flor space? Do you want to install a bathroom in this room too? If you decide on the garage, it would be more simple but when the cold weather hits, you may wish you had it again.
In this room is the electrical. You will need almost two switches for light and ceiling fan, outlets, and other additional power requirements such as an extra outlet for an A/C window unit. Most electricians look to hit you for at least $1000. That is just labor.
Then there is HVAC. Running air ducts and returns is easy but the bill will rise there too.
Then you need a drywaller and drywall finisher. This can set you back another $1000 and then if he does a half hitched job, he got his money and is gone.
Another option is, do you use all three bedrooms? Is there someone sleeping in all three? If not, knock out a wall and make two rooms into one. It can be done without exhausting you garage.
Once you decide what you want to do, hire a good contractor. If you wish to find someone like myself that does it as a hobby and who cares how the job is done, then do not pay until the job is done. I will not accept any payment until the job is done.
Good luck and God Bless. Jesus Christ loves you.
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at rsrasmussen72@yahoo.com. I am a God fearing Christian and I would love to help.

What are the translated lyrics to "Kugutsuuta kagirohi ha yomi ni mata muto"from Ghost in the shell innocence?

Ryu

I have been looking for the lyrics for a presentation for one of my classes. We were asked to bring in a piece of music that no one else might of ever hear of and I wanted to bring this is with the translation. I know that most of these songs were part of shinto prayers. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you very much to R>V<N for your answer but unfortunately the song's lyrics that you had are not the same as the one on the song. Thank you for the effort though! I appreciate it and I will be able to use those pictures you provided. I am very grateful.

The song's length is 9:47 long give or take a second. The only hint i have to it is a comment I found about dancing foxes.

Answer
Hello ,
I could not find the lyrics but I found something that may suit you according to the criteria of your question but it is from the first Ghost In The Shell anime film ;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghost_in_the_Shell_(film)#Choral_song
"Choral song
According to the soundtrack's liner notes, the haunting choral song that plays throughout the film is a wedding song, sung to get rid of all evil influences that are about to follow. The lyrics of the song itself seems to reflect the union between Kusanagi and Project 2501 which takes place towards the end of the movie. Kenji Kawai originally wanted to use Bulgarian folk singers, but was unable to find any, so he relied on the Japanese folk song choir he used earlier in the Ranma 1/2 anime. The song uses an ancient form of the Japanese language mixed with Bulgarian harmony and traditional Japanese notes.

[edit] Cultural analysis of lyrics
Married nobles in the Japanese pre-feudal era typically slept in separate bedrooms. Sneaking into the bedroom of a love interest constituted a proposal for marriage. Therefore, the third line may be understood as "yobahi/nightly crawl into bedroom" rather than "kekkon/wedding."
A sterling bird is mentioned in 4th line. When this bird sings at dawn, it is considered an ominous sign because its song is believed to be less melodic than other birds and thus baleful.
The fifth line is a set of Shinto "god words". In the ancient days when Shinto relied on more shamanic rituals, a turtle shell was burned to reveal a fortune and special words were said to proclaim that the truth had been revealed. These words eventually became a prayer used to cleanse impurities.
The last line of the song was overdubbed in the international release of the film with "One Minute Warning", a song by U2 and Brian Eno. Some speculate that this edit was done for marketing purposes by Manga Entertainment, one of the major financiers of the film.[weasel words] "
I will check around some more though .

=^,,^=

Post - Edit ; "The Ballad of Puppets: The Ghost Waits In The World Beyond" seems to be the English translation of "Kugutsuuta kagirohi ha yomi ni mata muto".
