What is your opinion of offering several types of furniture all at one price?

Brian

I run a small furniture retail business is a smaller town and we thinking of changing the store to offer close to 20 sofas at $399, love seats for $369, bedrooms (headboards, dressers, and mirror) for $399, occasional tables (2 end tables and cocktail)all at $199, and dining sets at $399. All will be from the same manufacturer and no in store stock. Some people who have ran this concept have doubled sales, but like I said this will be in a smaller town with several other furniture retailers in town and not near a major metropolis. When I say smaller town, I am comparing to large metro areas like Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago, etc. The town has about 10,000 people and about another 20,000-30,000 in the county. What is your opinion of this concept in this type of market?
Fonz, I was not at the market but the owner of the store was. This is the Furnish 1-2-3 concept by Ashley. It already cuts margin very low so making package deals is kinda out. We meet with the reps Wednesday so I was trying to do a little homework so I can see if it is just me that has concerns with this idea.

Answer
Brian, Are you planning to handle just the low end furniture? If so this might work with the right marketing. However, you will be creating an image of a low end store. And keep in mind that the longevity of "inexpensive" furniture is not good and most of the clients will have kids. I suggest you select some prime vendors and sell a nice mix. You might try putting together some package deals where they can get an entire room or the whole house. I found that the tickets get bigger when we sell in package and it's a good deal for the customers. Don't forget the lamps and rugs. And you can do all kinds of things with the marketing. Were you at High Point this week? I was wondering if a rep helped you with the idea...

New guitar or new Amp?

Merlon C

I have a B.C Rich Warlock and a Little bitty marshal amp.MG series.
I was wondering whether I should pick up a new guitar or a new amp to get a better sound quality (I am a decent musician, just my gear is lacking)

Answer
It all depends. Are you gonna try and play in a band, or just sit at home and play? What style of music do you like, or do you want to sound like? What's your price range? Do you want a versatile guitar, or one geared toward a certain type of music?

Your guitar has almost nothing to do with your sound. It's your pickups. When looking for a new guitar, you need to find one that feels right, and that is built with quality wood and electronics and hardware. You want it to last you a few years, but one that's comfortable is the #1 thing to look for. The pickups can always be swapped out to change your sound, and doing that is MUCH cheaper than buying a new guitar. A pickup swap with decent pickups can run you around $150 for two humbuckers. Dimarzio, EMG and Seymour Duncan are a few of my favorite companies.

Some good all around guitars are Schecter C-1+, PRS, Gibson LP's.

Some that have their own style and sound are Hollow Bodies or strats

Amps are a whole other thing. Once you figured out what guitar and pickup combo you want, then it's time for the amp. If you use a crappy amp, with real nice pickups, you're still gonna get a bad sound. Tube amps are awesome, but need to be turned to high volumes to get that rich tone that they are known for. I would recommend one if you're gonna be in a band. Mesa Mark IV's are great, but they just got discontinued after like 17 years or so. I have one, and they are very versatile, in that they can be used for jazz, or metal.

Marshall MG's are just about the worst rated amps on the planet. They sound like mud. If you play with a drummer, you won't cut through the cymbals. If you play with another guitar player, you won't hear anything but loud nonsense from either guitar. It will basically just ruin your hearing, and shake the house.

A nice tube amp, for live performances, should be somewhere between 35 to 100 watts... but 100 watts is overkill. Mine goes to 85 watts, and can be cut down to 35, 50 and 70 watt intervals. I can barely get it to 4 or 5 on the master volume when it's at the 85 watt setting. You can still find 1 to 15 watt tube amps, which can still get a decent volume to them, but can be used for studio, or bedroom volumes. Infact, there is a company called Blackstar that has a decent 5 watter for only $399 on musiciansfriend.com I have no clue how they sound, but they have great reviews.

If you live in an apartment, you can look at POD's... they don't have great tone, but you can get so many different sounds and effects from them, not to mention the ability to record on to your computer.

If you still want a solidstate, you can check out Roland cubes. They are pretty decent. Marshall amps aren't my thing. The only ones I like are the 80's tube amps.

If you want a metal tone, you can get a Peavey 6505, or if you save up $5000, you can get the ultimate Diezel stack.

Setting up Wireless?!?

April

Okay, I'm kind of a wiz kid when it comes to computers, but I realised I know NOTHING about setting up a Wi-Fi connection.
I have an Dell Optiplex GX60 desktop computer with Windows XP and AOL Broadband via DSL and am soon purchasing a Laptop with Vista and would like to set it up so the Laptop can go wireless. The computer is in my living room, but I'd like to use the Laptop in my bedroom.

The Laptop comes with a WLAN: Integrated 802.11g Wireless LAN but as far as I know, the computer has no wireless adapter. However, I heard that the wireless adapters always go in the white pins inside the computer, and if so, this means it has one. (CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THIS FOR ME PLEASE?)
If it doesn't, then I'm guessing I need a router (does anyone know which one or recommend any? does it depend on what type of Laptop/Desktop PC I have?), a pc wireless adapter, an Ethernet cable.... anything I've missed out?
Basically, I need a step-by-step guide for my current configuration....will give 10 pts
Thank you for the ONE answer I've had so far.
I meant the white pins in the computer NOT the laptop..
- Thanks.

Answer
What you really want to do is add a wireless router to the mix. You dont have to have a wireless unit in your desktop to have your laptop connect wirelessly.

Just get a router, much faster much easier to setup, cost about the same as adding a wireless adapter to your desktop. Normally most desktops DO NOT HAVE a wireless adapter since they sit in one place and can be wired.
You can buy an adapter -- it would pluginto the PCI slots (white plugs) and you could (not easy to do) configure it to share your internet connection but this is NOT the best method. A router plugs in outside your computer and is easy to setup. Much like your dsl modem.

Linksys, Dlink, Netgear, many others are good routers. I would suggest just checking local computer centers and office supplies. Find one on sale (normally around $30 - $40) and hook it up.

The router fits between your DSL line and the computers. Your desktop will just plug into the wired ports. You set the router up for the wireless then your Laptop can just connect to the system and your done.

37" LCD Olevia TV in my bedroom??

Crazy Legs

I recently purchased a 37" Olevia 537H HD LCD tv from www.buy.com. It should be arriving Tuesday. I am planning on putting it in my 14 x 12 bedroom. Do you have any suggestions as to getting the best theatre quality set up? I was thinking placing the TV high up in one corner, but I'm not sure. Any advice? Any knowledge about olevia? The reviews were pretty good, and the price was amazing...

Answer
You should set it up, to be viewed at eye level. Some tv's are not viewable for a good picture if your viewing it on too much of an angle. Check the users guide, to see how much of an angle it can be for good viewing. Good Luck, with your new hdtv. I just bought a 32" samsung, and we love it..Hook up surround sound when you get a chance, it's just like being in a theater..

Parents & Teens - Which bedroom set is best for two girls...?

Lizzy ~ de

Ages 11 and 8?
My daughters share a room and a queen-sized bed. Right now it's pink and brown, hardwood floors with no rugs, the walls aren't painted, and it's very plain and what decor they do have is very much a little girls' room. It's ready for an update. I gave them the choice to do the room themselves, IE pick out all the paint, decor, bedding, or to let me design it and surprise them with a whole new room. They were both excited about the latter idea, so that's what I'll be doing. I figured the easiest way is to pick out bedding, then base paint and some decor around that, and then take them shopping and let them pick out the other accessories. They agreed on something with bright blue, green or teal, cool colors but still girly.
I've found a number of bedding sets that I think could work and they could grow into through their early teens at least, but would love some input from teenagers or moms who've done older girl rooms.

Answer
One is cute and adorable, but it is still rather juvenile. While it would do fine for now, it wouldn't age well for them.

Two is very lovely as it can reverse to change up the look. That's always nice. I still enjoy those and I'm 19. I have a reversible one that is quite cute but still will work until I'm several years older.

Three is also very adorable. This shouts "pre-teen" too me. I can see this one aging very well. This is something my younger cousin (she's 17 though) was looking into. Something with this style. It's cute and very fashionable.

Four is gorgeous. This one has the girly-er look to it, but it will age just fine. It's sophisticated enough, but still very fun! The colors are bright and cheery, but not too vibrant or wild, and it isn't something you would see in a little tot's room either.

I would probably go with Four. It adds a lot of character and will suit them as they age too. It still has the hint of girlishness in it, but it's also very mature looking too. And it's fun!

ALSO: I suggest you look at the Target website, too. There are a LOT of great bed-sets that are in the sorts you're looking for. Though I'll warn you, some of them look much better in person. The one I got is from there and it looks much better in person than it does online.

Best of luck!

how do i stain furniture that has already been stained long time ago?

maricel m

old brown stain on wood bedroom set would like to restain to a new expresso finish...

Answer
If you want to do it right, chemically strip, lightly sand, restain and refinish. If it's an old piece, it may be due for a refinishing anyway.

Most espresso finishes have red undertones and black overtones. (This is subject to interpretation of the marketing department). This will be tough to get to with a brown stain on it now.

When I do an espresso finish, I like to do a dark cherry pre-stain, a dark wiping stain (I use General Finishes "Espresso" or a thinned black enamel) and then put on clear coats.

Bedroom design help!!?

Jessie

For all you decorative people out there! (:
Okay so for my birthday I was able to redesign my whole room. I'm a very artsy, free flow kind of girl. I LOVE making bracelets and doing crafty things of that nature. I painted my lounge area a maroon color and fell so in love with it that I want to do my bedroom that color too! The reason I didn't at first is because of the black furniture I had in there (YUCK) but now I'm giving that away and am debating between a light color brown or white furniture, noting that I'm only going to be getting a dresser and a side table. After that decision is made, I need help with comforters. Yes, I can go look at Macy's, JcPennys, Pbteen, etc.. but I have and nothing is catching my eye. I absolutely cannot stand colors of the nature with neon, bright pink, bright blue, neon green, zebra, cheetah. Disgusting. It's just the typical American teenage girl. I love the colors like marroon, dark purple, orange, yellow, the kind of green like this m&m..

I need some inspirational ideas and hoping some out there can help me! Puuhh--lleeeaaasssee(:

Answer
With maroon walls, I think that white would be too intensely different so I would opt for light brown, like a pine or other light stained wood furniture.
As for bedding, rugs, etc...here are some examples that might work for you..http://www.walmart.com/ip/Shaw-Rugs-Reverie-Umbra-Brick-Contemporary-Rug/14632206

Where can I purchase good quality but inexpensive furniture?

Answer
Not sure where you are located there is JYSK, Ikea, independently owned furniture stores for new furniture, Dent and scratch outlets if you are in a big city Sears, The Bay, The Brick all have dent and scratch outlets, Good quality furniture that might only need touching up with a stain pen. Oak, Ash or a light colored wood would look great or blue, yellow and a light brown.
Also checkout your local thrift stores, Value Village, and bargain finder ads and any freight damaged stores in your area.
You can also try Craig's list for your area, Freecycle, or kijiji in Canada

Can anyone tell me in detail what it's like to live in New Zealand?

Mayan*Myst

I am thinking of Immigrating to New Zealand from South Africa, Purly to get away from the terrible crime & Economic break down.. I am 24 & desperate to find out in detail things like average salaries (skilled level administrator), Qualified Firefighter, in comparison to food, nightlife, rent, cars etc.. please can someone help me with this??
Any thing?

Answer
I am from Texas and lived in Invercargill NZ from 1999-2004...my oldest son lives there now, and i visit annually.

The wages are a bit depressed compared to here in the states, and as far as cost of living goes it is hit and miss...Petrol prices are higher than the States, and eating out is MUCH more expensive. Nightlfe is comparable in price. But keep in mind there are lots of free outdoor activities like hiking etc. that are REALLY the toast of NZ.

Cars ( i sold cars there), are liek anywhere, you could spend very little or spend a fortune...for a serviceable car that will last a few years and get you from A to B...you will want to spend at least 7 or 8 thousand...but you get an ld junky set of wheels for $1000...or a new BMW for 150k....

featurecars.co.nz is a website you could look at for an idea, my buddy over there owns that car lot...he has his prices listed and pictures...

Violent crime is practically non-existent compared to the USA...petty theft and family violence is most of thei crime..but basically ZERO murders etc. I dont know of any SAFER plae to live than NZ...it is a really good plcefor yound families with kiddos. People generally dont lok there doors, and I even left my keys in the car overnight most nights lol.

Houses vary from region to region greatly...Auckland is REALLY expensive, and Queenstown is for the rich basically...Chrstchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Wellington and smaller cities have reasonable real estate ranging from 175k-500k and up...

I know right now in Invercargill you could get an awesome large 5 bedroom home for about 400k, or an older starter home for 175k..outside of the 3 large cities (Auckland, Christchurch, Wellinton) you really couldnt find an un-safe are to live in the whole country...

I must say that the food is lousy compared to the US, and similar to food in England...not alot of taste lol..but they have McD's, Burger King, KFC, Subway etc.
A Big Mac combo in NZ should run you about $7 these days..

A large meatlover's pizza from pizza hut delivered is about $17

In the deep south, i would say a family of 2 adults and 1 child could live comfrtably but modestly on an income of as little as 35,000/year...that wold be scraping buy though...60k/year and up wold afford a nice lifestyle in most of the South Island...

An experienced office worker should look to make anywhere between $12-15/hour..

I met a number of South Africans when i lived there who had also migrated and they were very happy with their move..they were mostly families looking to escape violence and turmoil, and they found NZ's slower pace and peaceful lifestyle very pleasing...as did I.

I dont know how much fireman get, i think there are alot of volunteer depts. but i know cops get about 40k/year to start...
New Zealand still has ALOT of agricultural and rural type jobs too and they generally pay good...Anything in the medical field pays very well...(nurse,doctor etc.)

My ex-father-in-law makes about 4k/month and he is the payroll coordinator for one of the regional hospitals...

Accounting always seems to have job listings too...not sure how well it pays...

A student working at McD's will get about $8/hour, and the manager probably makes about $12

As a car salesman on commission in a small town i made anywhere from 2500-5500 a month depending on business and sales...

Hope this helps, i could go on forever but this is getting long! lol

Good luck!

The most important thing to do before you move is to get a jon first, the job market can be tough there, but most jobs pay decent in line with the area's cost of living...just not as well as in the states...

Staying up at night worring about a break in?

Q. A lot of nights I'm in bed and I will hear a noise. I'll be terrified thinking my house is being broken into and he will kill me. I'll be up for hours just waiting and listening. I'll take my gun around downstairs and double check that all my doors are locked, and that no windows are broken and still be up for hours thinking I'm hearing things. I had an ex who was very abusive and I'm still terrified he'll get me since I left him and he went to prison for abusing me. It's been three years now since he got out of prison and I'm still scared. Is something wrong with me? Shouldn't I be over it by now?

Answer
He is probably abusing someone else now, and would have found you by now, if he was looking, and had the capability and resources (very few do). If he doesn't know where you live, your fears are unrealistic, and probably result from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or you have developed/exacerbated an anxiety condition.

You could set movement alarms downstairs, or get a dog, and train it using a book, and the Pets > Dogs section at Y!A (or do the former, and have the dog in your bedroom [it would set off the motion detectors] at night). PTSD is addressed in sections 33 - 34, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and professional EMDR therapy is known to be effective. Anxiety: section 6 (view page N first).

does anyone have bedroom ideas?

im 15 and im redoing my room. i got a full size bed. and a comforter set. i also have a small vanity and a desk (not sure if its staying though). im either painting my room mint green or a lightish turqouise color with an accent wall in a darker color. i was wondering if anyof you guys had good ideas on how to decorate or arrange furniture or add fun to my room. oh its not the biggest room over...but its medium sizes. i also have a bookcase and an extra dresser in addition to my closet.
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=119044
above is my comforter.

thankss in advance.

Answer
Thats a really cute comforter set!
I would suggest putting all your furnature against the walls. This will make the room seam bigger, cause you'll have more space in the center.
It would be cool to get like a huge black shag rug for the center of your floor. Or white - depending on the color of your bed, and the color of the carpet.
And not everything has to match. You could get a whole bunch of colorful pillows and just put them everywhere. Big ones and little ones.
Shadow boxes for the walls would be cute too.
If you don't know what thoes are - look them up on google or something, im sure you've seen them before. They make a good place to put stuff, and they''ll match the style of the comforter and stuff.
I love redoing rooms. =]

Good luck!

my curtains are white and my bedroom set is a light color of oak. i have lavender accent pillows and a throw. i don't want everything to be too "matchy matchy" but i'm leaning towards a lighter shade of grey on the walls. i am not really good at decorating so any serious advice would be so much appreciated =)

How should I re-decorate my bedroom?

Kristen

I really like this bedding set (the pillows and everything on the bed also): http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/bedandbath/kids/teengirlsbedding/PRD~c9032/Candies+Isadora+Bedding+Coordinates.jsp#

Now how can I re-do my room around that bedding set? I don't want it to be too dark (black everywhere) or too light either (I hate pink). I also want something I won't grow out of in a couple months. I want something that can...grow with me so to say. So I don't want a certain theme.

I want to paint my room preferably, as I know it's much easier to repaint then to re-wallpaper. Problem is I have weird raised parts in my walls. It's kind of obvious with the white paint I have currently and looks odd. So would a certain color paint make it less noticeable? What color would look good with my bedding set I want? Again, I don't want something too dark.

Also what should I do with my floors? Right now I just have a icky pink carpet. I'm definitely pulling that up, but what should I do to replace it? Get another carpet? If so, what color? If not, what else?

I'm kind of clueless on what I want done to my room, other then I really like that bedding set. I like blue and orange and bright colors, but I don't like REALLY bright rooms full of pink and lavender and sunny days if you know what I mean. I prefer just black and white then POPS of color. But I don't know how to make that work...I have a REALLY small bedroom and the house is kinda old. I'm also working on a small budget. I also don't want anything too complicated or I'll never get it done.

But in the end run, just give me any opinions whatsoever that you may have. Anything will help. Thanks in advance!
Almost forget, the ceilings are weird too. It's white and has a pointy texture, sorry I don't know the real name of it. So I don't know what to do with them...I've always wanted a cork ceiling for some reason, but I think that would be a bit complicated.

Answer
I love that bedding. It's very European-looking. I know you don't want a specific theme, but I'd play into the Paris look. I hate pink too, so I'd use turquoise.
Pull your carpet up. If you have a hardwood floor, then I wouldn't put down any carpet. I'd use a turquoise throw rug.
http://store.delias.com/item.do?itemID=51227&categoryID=850&sizeFilter=&colorFilter=&brandFilter=
I'd use gray paint. Use Sherwin Williams Color Visualizer to help you select a color. I like "knitting needles". (That's the name of the color.)

You could disguise those weird raised parts in your walls one of 2 ways:
1. with Chandelier Wall Decals

2. with posters
If you could find a baker's rack like this one at a thrift store or yard sale, it would look great to spray paint it with black lacquer.

Use it to display small turquoise/aqua items. Search for things in those colors at thrift stores, flea markets, or yard sales too.
if you could live with a Paris look, you could also get a hat box for storing small items.

Hey, does anyone know where I could buy a new eco-friendly bedroom set for no more than $500.00?

Q. I'm looking for one in an asian style or antique european. I have very little money and I can't be driving to people's homes to look at furniture being sold in the newspaper because I don't have a car... but I desperately need to get my home and life organized and so I need furniture to do that. I can't have goodwill bring anything in because the last time I tried that they were so astonished by my home; my mom is a pack-rat... and I am not going through that again! Lastly, I would just really prefer it to be eco-friendly because I care about the environment and I have also read that eco-friendly furniture is better for your health. Please help... Thank you!

What should I offer for these Bedroom sets?

Asad Siddi

I am including links to 2 bedroom sets here and also a picture of living room furniture like rugs, couches and loveseat. I would like to know what I should offer as a price if I have to purchase these ? I just purchased a house and would like to purchase the furniture as well. I think it would also save the seller trouble for disassembling, transporting and assembling. Thanks very much for your time. Also you can specify the price of items and refer to 1,2,3 for which picture. I live in Atlanta, GA.

Have you considered getting a used set to start, and paying cash for it? Try thrift shops like Goodwill, and craigslist, and the for sale papers that are in many convenience stores.

Many places just finance through credit cards but some places will let you pay payments.

Will this colour paint go with this bedroom set?

confusedbr

I am buying this closet set from Ikea, but all the window doors will be froster. I was wondering if the paint will go with the colour of this furniture. Thanks! The trims and ceiling will be a cream type colour.

To see the colour of paint, please go to "Calm" and to the third page, the colour is "tumbled stone"

http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15597&catalogId=10103&storeId=3&productId=34019&langId=-15&categoryId=15862&chosenPartNumber=S49817929

Answer
If you are going to go with the Hopen furniture collection, you need a different colour. The Tumble Stone is very nice, Very Today. But I don't think the furniture will give you the look you will like, up against the colour you have chosen. The furniture will not stand out. Perhaps you can choose the same colour, but a shade lighter. Or since you are planning to use a cream colour for the ceiling and trim, you can always look into a darker shade of cream for the walls as well. Just to give you an idea, I have darker furniture than what you have chosen, and chose a very rich mustard for my walls and four shades lighter of the same colour for my ceiling. I love your choices though. Maybe you can just tweak your shade. Maybe you can consider one from the Nostalgic colours, Sugar Crumble or maybe Old Gold. I also like the ones from the Calm section, page 1, last two rows or page 2, first two rows. I think any one of these will make the furniture pop. Play with it for a while. See which ones will hit you. I'm not saying not to use your original choice. Just think something different will look nicer. Good Luck.

Look at this great bedroom featuring black furniture from JC Penney. This was a bedroom they did last year featuring their furniture and linens. Using white walls that you do not even notice!

What are fun things to build on minecraft?

Hannah

I'm not that bothered about originality. Just want something fun and time consuming that I won't get bored of...
I don't really like the technical side of minecraft, like all the red stone uses.
Just want something fun, maybe a little complex to build. but i've run out of ideas!
I just finished making my first ever tree house.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EB4dfa7uo0
so thats ticked off the list. any ideas?

Answer
Here are some things to do:

1. Create giant wool replicas of things or characters that you like.
2. Try to re-create your real-life bedroom or entire house
3. Add real life rooms and furniture to your house (ex. Dining Room)
4. Since you have a tree house, make sky walks out of glass, and have them connect to other buildings, or just make it go on for as long as you like
5. Water or lava fountain
6. Lighthouse

Value of antique bedroom set?

Scott

I will be selling a bedroom set soon. I think it is antique but I just don't know. It is made by Goodman furniture. In my research the original owner, who died in 2010, was Leon Goodman. Before I sell it I am trying to get some sort idea if it is worth getting an appraisal before I sell it.

Thoughts anyone?

Answer
Take a bunch of good up close pictures and take them to an antique furniture place and they can give you an idea of what you have. Probably will do it for free.

price range on bedroom sets?

bobbovienz

i have a bedroom set i would like to sell. 9 drawer chest, dresser w/ mirror, desk/chair, bed, bookcase and end table. i have no idea how to price it. anybody have a price range in mind?

Answer
The value depends on the quality of construction, the condition, the style and age. Where do you plan to sell it? A consignment store will take half of what they can sell it for. The price to the buyer will be less on Craigslist, but you won't have any cost to sell it.

The used furniture buyer will be looking to spend considerably less than if they bought new on sale.

Im going for a masquerade kidn of bedroom

Answer
They're both polyester bed sets, I have to say I like the purple one a lot. So in terms of quality , they are the same, however I think the purple has more fullness to it.
I don't care for the bench at all. It wouldn't look right with the purple set and you would have to add that same aqua color in accent pillows otherwise you just get this clash of color with nothing really tying it all in.

Black, White, and Red Attic Bedroom Help? Pictures Included!?

logan upch

Hi there everyone, thanks for your time!

I just moved into a brand new house, and my bedroom is upstairs. (It is an attic bedroom) and has a odd, abstract design. Here is a photo of the bedroom: http://i56.tinypic.com/t8nrkw.png (Just copy and paste that into your browser)! I have a Queen sized bed, I need somewhere to put my 55" TV. My colors are black, white and red. I want it to be modern NOT goth. I need to figure out what color to paint all of the walls, and what to do with that awkward nook in the left corner..
I also have a huge red shag rug, a black loveseat, and a coffee table. I do need some new lamps.

I need your help. Help me find reasonably priced modern furniture for my room. What color should I paint the walls? I want it to be light and airy and modern NOT NOT NOT goth.

Thanks,
Logan

Answer
The room is great right now.
Don't repaint if you want open and modern room.
First pick out bedding that will set the tone for the room.
Here are some options :http://www.home-decorating-co.com/us-polo-assn-storm-bedding.html
http://www.home-decorating-co.com/lawrence-onyx-bedding.html
This one used to come in black. It will fit great in your room in the deep brown next to the light beige walls :http://www.crateandbarrel.com/the-marimekko-shop/bed-and-bath/marimekko-kaivo-chocolate-bed-linens/f43721
http://www.crateandbarrel.com/the-marimekko-shop/bed-and-bath/marimekko-kivet-black-bed-linens/f46253
Get almost any lamp and change the shade to a red drum lamp shade.

You can put your TV across from your love seat.
An Ikea-esque bookshelf will fit in to the nook perfectly.
Enjoy your room.

What % of Foreclosures sell at Trustee Sales?

john v

My house is set to sell at a Trustee Sale on July 2nd in Nevada . I notice as I look at Foreclosure sites that some homes are Bank owned & some are listed with Realtors.
Do houses generally sell at Trustee Sales??

Does anyoneknow how long I have to vacate after a trustee sale in Nevada?

Any insight on this would be great!

Answer
In the present market in Clark County, NV. You should not expect a bidding war to purchase the property... The trustee will generally bid the amount of indebtedness which will include the debt, past due interest and principle and attorney fees and costs.

As far a vacating your property, you need not leave until the new owner completes an unlawful detainer....

Now for some "relatively" good news.... Some new owners will allow you to lease the property (Not many... but a few....) More will offer you a cash bonus payable after you physically and voluntarily vacate.

One friend in Green Valley got a $5,000 move out bonus from a luxury home. Another with a 1 Bedroom condo got $1,500. It depends upon the new buyer.

Good Luck!
