Far cheaper to construct your own. They are getting a fair bit of money for the loft beds such as the ones at PB carrying price tags of well over 1K.

There are many ways to make a loft on your own. This is preferable as you can set your height according to your bed height and persoal height and cieling. One of the easiest ways to construct a loft is using the Ikea cabinets and securing a board over the top to hold your mattress. A fast DIY Would be to support a top peice of plywood or MDF and laminate or paint the surface using file cabinets as a base. About how much does a queen mattress set cost? never bought mattress before, thank you in advance?

Q. i got my bedroom set about 12 yrs ago, its still really nice but i want a new mattress set, im not into brands, just want the average mattress, someone is selling a queen set for 350 and since ive never bought mattress before i don't know if im getting ripped off. thank you so much in advance

A good one will cost several hundreds if you are very very savvy, to $1000 and up. Anything less, and I would look verrry carefully at it, you could regret it quickly as the quality is likely to be poor.

Go to your library and look up Consumer Reports Magazine back issues, look for their past mattress buying advice article. They tell what makes up a good mattress, usually higher coil count =more firmness. Comfort is a personal preference.

If you need just a mattress (and not a set), or don't care that they match, you can find those in mis-match sales or end of season sales (they change the fabric).

I am not a fan of foam mattresses, pillow tops, or any kind of anything padded extra, as you can add more but you can't remove it if it is part of the mattress, something I regret with the tempurpedic-foam mattress I have and hate.

I got this bed frame with storage underneath for my teen's mattress, and it holds it at the height of a normal bed-with-box-spring. It is very firm, and can make up for a poor quality mattress because it is SO firm, but you may not want that as it sounds like you already have a bed frame? I include info on it because some folks use this frame with a latex foam mattress (all foam like sleep number/ temperpedic, etc.) and say a platform like this is all they need (no boxspring). How much might it cost to rent a bedroom set?

Q. I'll be staying in this place for 7 months, but then I'm leaving to study abroad in Spain and I don't want to have to pay the storage fees after I leave.
All I need is maybe a queen sized bed, a dresser, and a nightstand. Nothing too fancy.
But then of course when I come back I'll need more furniture too, so should I go ahead and buy some cheap furniture and just pay the storage costs?

If it's a King Size bed, mattresses are pretty pricey for it. So, they probably want to sell it all together. Just email them first, and ask if they would be willing to sell the set without the mattress, before you name a price. But, yes I'm thinking 500 - 600.

Bedroom Wall Colors??

I am a teenager and I am thinking about getting a cherry wood bedroom set. I have light colored carpet in my room, which might be replaced with hard wood later but it may be a while before that happens. I was looking at pictures of cherry wood bedroom sets and I am just not sure what color walls would look good with that color. Please give me some suggestions, and preferably a picture of the cherry wood bedroom in a room with that wall color just so I can get an idea. Thanks :)
I was thinking like a light pinkish color with maybe some darker pink and brown polka dots, or maybe a yellow-green color with brown polka dots, and lastly looking at some pictures a light purple with dark purple and brown polka dots. Which one sounds best. Q. I'm basically looking for some ideas for colors for my bedroom. I don't really want to do blue again, but am having trouble finding something that won't be to dull or dark. I don't really want to do any natural sarky earthy tones or greens, and although I'm shooting for something lighter I don't really like light pink or butter cream yellow either. I am also willing to change my bedspread, so that isn't much of a matching problem. My window frames, door frames, and the wood bordering the floor are all a medium-dark cherry brown as is my bedroom set. what are some good white furniture sets around $800?

For my 12th birthday I really want to re-do my green furniture flower room into a room with teal blue walls, and white furniture. I've been looking at Bobs online store and I like the Tribeca youth becuase it comes with the dresser, mirror, desk, smaller dresser, nightstand and the shiny white furniture, but I don't like how above the mirror it has striped wood, and how the bed has foot rails. I need a twin bed becuase I already have a twin mattress. I have found a bed set that comes to all of my needs but theres no desk, so i cant have that. It also has to be all wood and around $800 ($700-$900). So if you can find me one and give me the link I would REALLY appreciate it! Thanks (and btw how much does a gallon of paint cost?)

I think you are going to have a near impossible task before you if you are trying to find a bedroom set that has a bed, dresser with mirror, desk, small dresser and nightstand in ALL WOOD in the price range you've stipulated. You might find a set that has every piece of furniture you need, in white, but not ALL WOOD for the price you've set. The set at Bob's is nice and the price is even better. I think you are onto something when you asked about the paint. Can you paint your existing furniture white? You would need a semi-gloss or glossy paint which can be had for as little as $15 a gallon.

Where can I get cheap bedroom furniture?

Q. My husband and I are looking for bedroom furniture for under $700. Everywhere I go, you get a bed and one nightstand and they call that a set. Here's what I'm looking for in a set: one full/queen bed (that does not include the mattress), TWO nightstands, and at least one dresser (if I can get a chest, too, that would be great, but one dresser is fine - it does not have to have the mirror). I will pay a bit extra for delivery if I must. Anyone know where I can get some decent furniture for this price? Is that even possible? Your help is appreciated.
I should probably mention that I live in West Virginia. If you're suggestion isn't near Morgantown, then please don't suggest it.

Fuchsia bedroom remodeling ideas?

Q. I am a 23 year old female who have now became obsessive with the colors fuchsia, black and white.

I have decided to remodel my bedroom COMPLETELY to a fuchsia, black and white color scheme. I would like my walls to be fuchsia with a white or black thick strip along the middle of the room with a pattern design in the strip. I will also be getting a black daybed w/ trundle with fuchsia, black and white bedding. I don't know if I should get a white 4-5 drawer chest or a black 4-5 drawer chest.

My carpet is a very light tan-ish color so I hope it will not mess up the scheme. I haven't decided on the color of the curtains yet but I am leaning towards a black rod drapped in white curtains with a fuchsia pattern. (I have no idea where Ima get the curtains from!)
But, anyways, thats my idea for my room and I would like any ideas that will work with my color scheme. So any ideas, tips or where I can get some of the supplies, bedding and oh yes! Wall decor. I currently have 3 twilight posters and 3 printed out pics of R. Patz, so I need to find out where I can get poster frames and other matching decor for my color scheme.

People move and sell their several thousand dollar sets for next to nothing. If you find something you like and the bed is the wrong size you can get a brass one! Check Craigs list and your local buy sell ads.

4pc Queen Size Platform Bedroom Set in Mahogany Finish arrived about 12 days later via Fedex curbside. I was slightly disappointed when the delivery person told me they don't do stairs or bring the furniture inside. That is a Fedex issue, but then again you aren't given any shipping options at checkout. The package itself came boxed up on a crate and the boxes were a bit beaten up so I was a little worried that the furniture was going to be damaged. Upon unpacking we were relieved to find no damage whatsoever.

Old hollywood themed bedroom?

I decided I want my bedroom to be old Hollywood themed (think Marilyn Monroe). But I can't figure out what to do. Put on red lipstick and kiss a little lip print onto one of your mirrors (ps you should have lots of mirrors), I've done this in my room and it really looks fabulous

No better place to furnish on a budget than the local thrift stores. You may have to do some refinishing and fixing, but it is well worth it! Get some ideas of what you want the space to look like by making a Pinterest board or collecting pics from magazines and then see how closely you can match the look on the cheap! I need to purchase (or make new nightstands). I do not want to spend much money, I am talking cheap. I'm not great @ crafts, and building, I cant refinish furniture or sew, I am renting so can not attach shelves and call them done. I need these to double as storage for clothing (large baskets on a shelf could work. I am not eclectic, but want something different. Currently using bookcases but I am planning on doing a bedroom redo. Ikea has cheap furniture, if you have one in your vicinity. Another option is to find some furniture store that is going out of business. It shouldn't be hard to find. They usually have some good deals. My wife and I bought our couches from a wholesaler who had hired some people to stand out on the street and wave signs. They were 60-70% off if I remember right.
