Guesstimate of shippin cost?

Q. Can someone give me a guesstimate of shipping cost of shipping a one bedroom: bedroom set and living room set. From Phoenix, AZ to New York, NY (Brooklyn)

I paid alot of money for them and wouldnt want to sell them.

A. The best way to determine the cost is to contact a local moving company. Look in the yellow pages for Mayflower, Allied or one of the others listed under moving and have them come give you a written estimate.

They are also the safest way to move furniture. They are insured and have experienced, professional people to wrap and move your furniture.

What would be an average electric bill for a one bedroom apartment in Phoenix during the summer?
Q. I am moving to Phoenix in three weeks. I will be in a one bedroom apartment around 750 sq feet. The building is less than two years old. Right now im just trying to get a rough estimate of my utilities each month.

A. About $200-250 depending on where you keep your temp set. I keep mine around 75 and in the summer it runs almost all day and half the night.

how to find Harry Potter Interior bedroom decorating in the USA?
Q. Hi, I have a question for anyone who can answer this question. I am redecorating my room to be a Harry Potter theme and I live in the U.S.A . So far I can not find anything, and this computer is a desktop in a different room and I do not have a projector. My question is where can I find

1. A Harry Potter wall mural either from the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, or Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movies.
2. A Harry potter Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter in the Order of the Phoenix or in the Goblet of Fire bed/quilt set w/sheets for a single bed.
& 3. A table and bench-chair set that looks like the desk from the movie in the Transfiguration classroom from the first year at Hogwarts. If anyone knows where I could find any one of those things and that the location is in the U.S.A. please let me know. Thanks. Bye.

Cost of a Master bed and bath addition plus extra bedroom in az?
Q. can anybody tell me what kinda price i am looking at.

A. I suppose the reason you haven't gotten an answer yet is because you don't provide anything in the way of information. Prices for the exact same project will vary widely depending on your geographical area. You have narrowed it down to the state of Arizona, but even that is not enough. Prices in the metro areas of Phoenix and Tucson will be higher than in a smaller town like Flagstaff, Williams, or Globe. Prices in an area like Sedona or Scottsdale will be extremely high. You may live in an extremely isolated area which will push the price up even further.

In addition, you provide no information beyond that fact that you want two bedrooms, one of them being a master bedroom along with a master bath. Will this be an addition to your house, or will you be adding a second story? How big are the rooms to be? What kind of amenities, fixtures, etc? Will your present heating and cooling system handle the additional load, or will you have to upgrade the whole house system? How close is the present plumbing supply and waste lines to the new proposed bathroom? Many homes in Arizona are built on concrete slabs. Will the floors of your existing home have to be jackhammered up to make the plumbing connections? I'm sure you get the picture by now.

No one can give you a halfway accurate answer based on what little information you have given. Having said all of that, there is a way to give you an idea as to cost. Assuming that this will be an addition to your home in the sense that it will have a foundation etc, you can expect to pay somewhere between $150 - $200 per square foot for your addition. It could go even higher depending on factors that are too many to enumerate in this format. Keep in mind that bathrooms are very expensive to build since there is a lot of cost crammed into very few square feet. They tend to bring the total average square foot price up when they are part of a project like this. This type of calculation is best used for the basic "can I afford to even think about this type of project" decision. If the answer is yes, it makes sense to proceed with actual plans and specifications.

If we are still on the same page, my best advice is to put together a set of plans and specifications and then shop them around to several qualified contractors. Your interests will be best served if they all are bidding on the same plans and specs. It is the only way to get an honest price comparison.

Good luck with your project.
