Ideas for a tropical themed bedroom?

Q. I was wondering if anyone knew of any unique websites to get this comforter or similar to this one:
http://www.bed-bath.net/Comforters/TROPICAL_SUNSET_COMFORTER.html

I love the pink/orange/yellow sunset comforter but this one is not available anymore. I wanted to base my whole bedroom off of it but I dont want the light color scheme like most other tropical comforters have. Im going to find a comforter and then use a color from it (Hopefully a bright pink) to paint the walls.
Also, ideas for accessories?
Thanks in advance :)

Answer
I found two bedding sets that I thought you may like:

I also did the whole tropical themed bedroom. I got some of my ideas and accessories from here: http://www.squidoo.com/teen-duvet-covers

You have to scroll down and find where it says "Beach Themed Bedroom".

Also, when I paint my walls, I usually go for the color that is least noticeable on the bedding. That will help make the color pop out of the comforter. Hope this helps and good luck! =)

please any ideas????

help me maybe! give me a few and i'll edit with some ideas!

oh and whats your style like? colours or anything you are looking for?

I'l start with what i like then...

headboard ideas:
this is how to make an upholstered headboard:
http://www.bejane.com/headboard
its really good and step by step!

these are some shapes to give you an idea and then you can choose whatever fabric you want!
http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.coverupdesigns.co.uk/images/headboards.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.coverupdesigns.co.uk/headboards.htm&h=886&w=600&sz=153&hl=en&start=1&sig2=9ypkw03vGfjwArfGaqgyzA&um=1&tbnid=pyV_idNl0W_bpM:&tbnh=146&tbnw=99&ei=THgKSOOiBp3UhQKx443xDQ&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dheadboards%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

this is an ikea headboard that i think would be awesome because you could just screw it into the studs at any hight and it would be a long the same colours

headboard ideas from HGTV design star!

(sorry if that doesn't help i know i can't watch the video on mac)

a storage headboard might be an idea since it would fill some of the wall space
http://www.decorandmoredirect.com/bltabohe.html

i'm sure you could make one of these depending on your skill level! as another idea though you could just buy boxes of any sort and mount them on the studs and then you could arrange them in any pattern you wanted or size and you could paint them for a bit of colour
-- something funky could be mounting milk crates (you can get them in fun colours)

Walls:
you could paint the studs, just the fronts or all three sides and then you have the option to do alternating colours on alternating studs which would give colour!

you could get a very large over sized mirror, or peice of art to really take over a whole wall and make a big statement!

you could hang curtains or a big quilt on a wall to give colour and make it look like you have a finished wall!
-- i probably wouldn't hand curtains on all walls because it might get to look like a bit much!

you could possible hang wallpaper by gluing it to the two studs but you would have to be very careful about making sure that it didn't pucker in the open stops and that you were able to get it to touch right.. this would probably be pretty hard and might not work!

door:
i had a basement room too so i know what you are going through here!

i hung fabric that matched my bedroom as a doorway, it was a funky pattern on one side that matched my room and plane blue on the other so that i didn't look too crazy in the hall way! it was thick enough that i had privacy and easy to install just using a the type of rod you would hand a shower curtain with

other then hanging fabric or beads there aren't too many options unless you are amazing with tools and then you could perhaps make a saloon style swinging door that wouldn't involve changing the existing walls at all!

lighting:

you could do something fun like hang a mini chandelier or something crazy!

some fun lights:
http://www.grandlight.com/products_chandeliers_contemporary.htm

http://www.inspiredbylight.co.uk/mains-voltage-light-pendant-p-7405.html

and since i'm not sure if you have much natural light or not you might want to consider some small table lamps or floor lams to give the room some extra light!!

for general inspiration try just flipping through some decorating magazines and seeing what you like and what you can pull out of the rooms and add to yours!

little accessories and what you hang on your walls and your bedding really pull a room together! also you might want to consider a rug of some sort since i know basement floors can get pretty cold in the winter! (if you live somewhere that has winter haha)
