I was also thinking of an office chair for my desk. Something cheap for the chair~. http://www.havertys.com/Product_11016?curIndex=0&resultCount=8 Thats the link to the desk I have now. Please help I am going tomorrow to look for stuff! Thank you so much<3

Answer
ok so that desk you have.. there is a much cuter design at ashley furniture homestore! whats great is that it is apricot. it honestly is much more homely-looking to me than white. just a personal preference. i'm a 13 year old girl who got this bedroom set about..hm maybe 2 years ago? well it was accumulated over a 2 yr period. here are the links-

desk- http://www.ashleyfurniture.com/Showroom/Showroom.aspx?PageId=Showroom&CategoryID=0&ItemNo=B213-22&SetDomTab=4&SeriesNo=B213&CollectionId=&style=&IsClicked=1&CatPageNumber=1&bFromSearch=Y&Keyword=cottage%20retreat
hutch (get it if money isn't a problem!! it help with extra junk!)- http://www.ashleyfurniture.com/Showroom/Showroom.aspx?PageId=Showroom&CategoryID=0&ItemNo=B213-23&SetDomTab=4&SeriesNo=B213&CollectionId=&style=&IsClicked=1&CatPageNumber=1&bFromSearch=Y&Keyword=cottage%20retreat
bed- (i got this one) http://www.ashleyfurniture.com/Showroom/Showroom.aspx?PageId=Showroom&CategoryID=0&ItemNo=B213-63&SetDomTab=4&SeriesNo=B213&CollectionId=&style=&IsClicked=1&CatPageNumber=2&bFromSearch=Y&Keyword=cottage%20retreat
other bed option that i was thinking about (but i just really like something about sleigh beds... again personal preferance)- http://www.ashleyfurniture.com/Showroom/Showroom.aspx?PageId=Showroom&CategoryID=0&ItemNo=B213-52N&SetDomTab=4&SeriesNo=B213&CollectionId=&style=&IsClicked=1&CatPageNumber=2&bFromSearch=Y&Keyword=cottage%20retreat

so, if you go to my twitter page ( https://twitter.com/#!/hellothere473 ) you can see pics of my room.

its still in GREAT condition. very durable. i LOVE it. but go here - http://www.ashleyfurniture.com/Showroom/Showroom.aspx?PageId=Showroom&CategoryId=0&SetDomTab=4&style=&IsClicked=1&Keyword=cottage+retreat&bFromSearch=Y - to check out all the furniture offered in this set. but if you have a small room, its very hard to keep enoug space. i hope i helped!! (:

p.s. i personally think this bedroom set would go good with pink and brown b/c apricot is sorta brownish but doesn't clash!!

Haverty's Furniture in Dallas?

You Asked.

I found a bedroom suite that I love, but Haverty's doesn't have items in stock, their stores are simply showrooms, therefor there is a delivery charge to get the item from Dallas to the house. I live in East Texas and will gladly make the trek if it saves on delivery charges... which I think are ridiculous considering Haverty's doesn't give you the option to pick it up for no charge or have it delivered for an additional charge.

Does anyone know if the warehouse is open to the public so we can buy the set and bring it home ourselves?

Does the warehouse have any "damaged" items?

And, can you tell me where the warehouse is at? As I said, I live in East Texas, and am not familiar with the stores around Dallas. I have searched on Yahoo and the Haverty's website, but the address of the warehouse does not pull up.

Thank you!!!

Answer

Is Ashley Furniture Overpriced?

nschu91

I haven't been to a store, and they don't show their prices online. I like their furniture, but I was wondering what is the relative range of their bedroom sets, living room sets etc.? Do they tend to be more expensive or are they comparable to say harlem or value city furniture?
Can you suggest some other chains that have quality furniture at a good price? They are hard to come by.

Answer
I love their furniture and accessories!!!
They are more expensive than Value City but, i believe
the quality, styles, and service are worth it.
You can purchase insurance and if you don't use it (make a claim-5 years) you can use it as an in store credit.
They also include delivery and set up.

Of course depending on your budget, style, and needs
this may not be the best choice for you and it is always
best to be thorough in your search before deciding on
anything that you spend your hard-earned money on.
That is exactly what lead me to Ashleys, there were places
that we basically walked through and right back out the door
in minutes.
I had also purchased an end table from Value City
and it was nice and i actually saw some other pieces that i
liked but, really preferred the style of furniture at Ashleys and
Rhodes Furniture (recently went out of business).
Cherry House and Havertys are equally nice and comparable
to Ashleys too.

where can i find a dresser handle?

*nameless*

i just bought a great dresser from havertys (balboa)
and i want a night stand, but the night stand that comes with that collection is too big, so i have to buy a smaller one individually and find some knobs (handles) that look like the ones i already have, the problem is i dont think they sell them in stores, and i want to try finding it on-line, but i dont know where to look.
PLEASE HELP ME!

website for nightstand:
http://www.havertys.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=11407&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&curIndex=0&resultCount=37

Answer
Please list a way (item number, etc) to identify the night stand from the Haverty's site. The link doesn't work.

As a general comment, matching similar metal finishes is generally thought to be enough of a match for the hardware because a bit of an eclectic look is very much in style. Your decision to use a night stand that was not part of the set is a plus from a design standpoint. Happy decorating! It really is fun to have your bedroom looking new and fresh!

Need a bedroom re arranging done? HELP!?

Aphrodite-

To start out, I have A LOT of furniture. A larger desk, large book shelf, two dressers, a stool, and a single bed. I went from a big, big room to when I moved, a SMALL room!
My family is moving again in a year, but that's to long! I want to know the best way to re-arrange, that is space efficient? and some cleaning tips!

Answer
You should draw out a blueprint on some paper. It does not have to be artistic whatsoever. Measure the length and width of your new room and then use a ruler to draw a box representing your room. Make it miniaturized to scale (i.e. if it's 10ft, draw it 10mm or inches).

Here's some examples:

calvin%20bedroom%20blueprint(1).jpg
(note: I had to break up that link so it fits)

http://blog.havertys.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/StyleBlueprint.jpg

Now, on seperate paper, draw out things like your bed and other big furnishings you want in your room. Draw them to scale like you did the room. Cut each of those out and label them. Now you can organize them around the box shape you drew as your room to figure out the best way to set up all your stuff.

Good luck~ =D
