chic bedroom design ideas?

I want to re-do my room but I don't know what to do! This is my bedroom set-

but i'm only keeping my dresser (which isn't pictured) but it gives you an idea of what i'm working with. Everything is neutral (my carpet is beige shag) and so are the walls so I'm starting fresh. If anyone has any ideas of the paint scheme or theme, please let me know! also i'd like a inexpensive cute upholstered platform bed, if anyone knows a good store I could go to. Thanks :-)
& btw my room is approx. 12x15 so you can get a better idea of space issues.

Since your furniture and vanity are light colored wood, you should add some color in there. Choose your favorite color and incorporate it into an overall scheme with your comforter, throw rug and other decor. I say start small and you can add from there. You can try HGTV, DIY network for ideas but I like this one:

im redoing my room and i need some help.
my idea is a light green room with green sheets, throw pillows, and throw blanket with a black and white comforter and pillows.

question 1- where can i find black and white cheetah sheets? *
question 2- where can i find cheetah print stencils?
question 3- on pbteen.com, they have a chelsea loft bed, which has a vanity under it. any idea where i can find something like it bit cheaper? or can i get parts & have my dad build it?

*if not cheetah than any cute design in those colors EXCEPT zebra.

i wanted one of those dressers that are open in the middle so you can put a chair or a stool there, like those makeup dressers with storage units on the side? i tried ikea but they dont have it. any suggestions? and also a place where they sell mirrors with round light bulbs around them.. like back in the hollywood days. ill include a picture. any suggestions for both my questions? 10 POINTS ASAP! ⥠thankss.

I'm moving into a bachelor suite and would like some suggestions for decor?

there's a slight nook for my bedroom furniture set (vanity/headboard/bed), am considering finding a floor flutter screen for some privacy/separation. Already have a huge 3-seater futon, but need to purchase all other furniture. Any space-saving suggestions or pieces I should look for that could function for everyday and entertaining (i don't do huge gatherings, but usually several friends). hope this makes sense, and any suggestions would be appreciated!

a folding table big enough to entertain but small enough to be out of the way when folded away.

a "cupboard" for your tv/music with doors that can shut it away when you want to hide it!

Under bed drawers for extra hidden storage.

Go for light colours to create a more spacious feel.

How do I find out how much a bedroom set and dining room set (both 50+ years old) are worth to sell?

Q. Both sets are made of wood, dark cherry finish. Bedroom set has 7 pcs. (headboard, footboard, vanity, bench, dresser, mirror, and chest). Dining room set has table w/leaf, 6 chairs, china cabinet, and chest. Antiques? Where to sell?

A. Go to the library and ask the information desk about finding a book to help you price the pieces. I did and found out I had a table worth $11,000. I was shocked.(no I didn't sell it). You can also look under the furniture and try and find the manufacturer and then do a computer search. Once you find a price you can go to Craigslist or put it in an antique store on consignment. Or just put an ad in your local paper or Penny Saver.

I'm assuming that I will need at least 4 clamps and 2 pieces of scrap wood, and just gradually tighten the clamps, but how gradually and is there anything I should do to condition the wood first?

A. Yes, you are right, you need moisture in the wood, you can steam it with an iron and a wet piece of material(quite thick) once the wood has absorbed the steam it will be quite pliable, I don't know how much you can press down the wood, go by feel, when you meet resistance, stop. Hope this helps
