Where to buy a new Bedroom set from ?

I would like to buy a new bedroom set. Bed, Side tables, Dresser, mirror. Mattress would be extra King Size would be great.

Would you buy from Art Van, Gardner White, Direct Buy, Value City, Cost Co, Sam's Club ?

Is furniture made with quality these days ? What are the brands that you think of when you want to buy furniture.

Budget ~ $3000 includes king size mattress.

Your thoughts and guidance.

ok im buying furniture for my new apartment but im kinda on a budget so im going to value city furniture store and the sofa and loveseat set that i want cost 600 dollars so i was wondering did anyone know if 300 dollars would be enough to put down in order to bring the furniture home and then be put on a payment plan

personally, i would REALLY recommend checking out craigslist first - you really can get awesome stuff - just bought an ashley bedroom set that retails for 1800 for 500 because someone was moving and it didn't fit in the new place...

but i would say that the deposit they're going to require varies - sometimes they don't require anything down. but if you're getting a $600 set, $300 down would be a 50% deposit and you should be fine.

Should I purchase from JC Penney or Value City Furniture?

I have been looking around for a micro-fiber sectional and I found what seem like identical ones that I like at both JC Penney and Value City. My mom says that she would be scared to purchase from Value city but, I purchased my bedroom set from there. And it is fine almost a year later. However, I have never purchased anything from JC Penney before. So, I was wondering does anyone have any experiences good or bad from either stores.
