i am getting a new bed room set so i need to organize my stuff. With under the bed storage what can i use?? Something cheap. And Where can i get one of those cheep temp. things that tell what the outside temp is? btw im a teen girl thanks!

you need to buy bed risers. They will give you the storage space you need. Ty walmart or target to get the best deal and try to go there instead of ordering online that will also save you shipping cash. Look on ebay for the checking of the outside temperature tool. God bless!

okay so i don't know what they are called exactly but in the store i saw it from ( Pb teen) its called a Storage Bed + Bookcase Tower Set . The one at PB teen is $3,000 and that's A LOT! there's a slight nook for my bedroom furniture set (vanity/headboard/bed), am considering finding a floor flutter screen for some privacy/separation. Already have a huge 3-seater futon, but need to purchase all other furniture. Any space-saving suggestions or pieces I should look for that could function for everyday and entertaining (i don't do huge gatherings, but usually several friends). hope this makes sense, and any suggestions would be appreciated!

a "cupboard" for your tv/music with doors that can shut it away when you want to hide it!

Under bed drawers for extra hidden storage.

Go for light colours to create a more spacious feel.

How to make a low loft bed for a full size x-long mattress?

I've never built anything before, so how hard would it be?

It needs to either be completely empty underneath or have storage.The ceiling in my bedroom is very low, only about 7 feet high. How can I make this work? And how can I get it cheaply?

Nothing is easy. My first suggestion is that you toss the mattress as it severely limits your options. Order the loft bed you like the best and get a mattress that fits. IKEA furniture is easy to set up, but the instructions can be rather obtuse, if not confusing. The cartons the furniture comes in can be very heavy, so plan on getting help. Make sure you specify "In Apt. Delivery" or they might unload on the curb. Good Luck. Oh, by the way, without expensive tools and experience, this not a DIY project.

What color of furniture can I buy to match my mahogany platform bed?

The bed only came with the 2 nightstands, it looks very nice and sleek but I don't know what other color to use. I need a dresser or a 5 or 6 drawer chest for my clothes. The walls in my room are off white. Im trying to keep it simple and modern looking. Maybe a few frames in black/white pictures. Any help. Only serious replies.

Mahogany can go towards the red or brown shades so I wish there was a picture. There is a bedroom set in black that Ashley has that has a brown wood top and comes in two dressers and a wardrobe that you could try, but it is more cottage style with round feet. I would go black for a modern look. Wicker could go too. The furniture stores have such great deals now it is worth walking through a few and snapping some pics with your phone and holding it up at home. Remember you don't want to just like it - furniture is a long term commitment! Be sure you love it and it suits the storage needs you have. Otherwise, I often think it looks modern and streamlined to do a California closets type of treatment and have no dressers - just built ins. then you can put up some beautiful artwork or a mirror or a tv over an electric fireplace and play up the romance with the added spaciousness. A rug and chair in front of the fireplace is what I did and I love the feel.

Ok so im moving out of state and decided to sell my current bedroom set and start new when I get to my new place. I am a 24 yr old female college student. I currently have a black and red theme going on, but id like to change it up. Im starting from scratch. My room is small. Im trying to figure out a way to maximize space and storage. I have a lot of stuff that will be in my bedroom and I need a lot of storage, mainly for books and clothes. I also need a work space for school work and writing.

Im looking for something young and fun but also sophisticated. I want something relaxing, as I tend to stress a lot. As im going to be sharing a bathroom with other people, I would like a vanity area, maybe a desk that can douple as a vanity or whatever.
Also, id rather not go smaller than a full bed.

I need everything, furniture, bedding, lighting, accents...everything! If you could help id love whatever ideas you have. Please use pictures to help portray your ideas. Thank you so much!

I'll be staying in this place for 7 months, but then I'm leaving to study abroad in Spain and I don't want to have to pay the storage fees after I leave.
All I need is maybe a queen sized bed, a dresser, and a nightstand. Nothing too fancy.
But then of course when I come back I'll need more furniture too, so should I go ahead and buy some cheap furniture and just pay the storage costs?

I wouldn't go with a theme, I would make it colorful, like paint the walls and have neutral curtains and light fixtures but I would be sure that they each had a shelf or some kind of storage to call their own that they can have their things on. I would keep the bedspreads the same color but put pillows and little touches that are different on the beds. For example, a red ladybug pillow for her and a red car pillow for him. The ideas are endless in my head right now. I'm sure you'll come up with something great and they'll love it. Take care.
