i wanted one of those dressers that are open in the middle so you can put a chair or a stool there, like those makeup dressers with storage units on the side? i tried ikea but they dont have it. any suggestions? and also a place where they sell mirrors with round light bulbs around them.. like back in the hollywood days. ill include a picture. any suggestions for both my questions? 10 POINTS ASAP! ⥠thankss.

Vintage Bedroom/Bedding Help?

I'm moving in a month so I need to start getting all of my bedroom stuff together! I'm thinking a vintage style. I need major help with finding bedding that won't be boring for about 2 years, but isn't too "teen bedding type." Once I find the perfect bedding, everything else will be easy to find.

To start, my bed is metal and all of my furniture is black (might distress it). I want to have colorful decor so, I would like my bedding to be able to work with that, like grey or multicolored. The problem with multicolored bedding, is that a lot of the ones you find look juvenile. Please if you have any ideas or websites that could help that would be greatly appreciated. I'm simply just trying to find something mature, but not boring.

I LOVE that last quilt you linked!

I would try a good long browse at overstock.com. They have bed in bag sets, duvet covers, quilts and every other kind of bedding you can imagine. Lots of colorful, vintagey quilts in particular. You can refine your search based on bed size, price etc.

Bedroom ideas? please help?

i have been looking for a new duvet cover for 2 years and cant seem to find ANY i like. Ive looked everywhere; pbteen, bed bath& beyond, anthropologie, jcpenny, macys, and thats only the start. Redoing my room is now becoming frustrating because I dont like anything and if i find anything, it doesn't come in a twin size. Right now my room is a really light orange and I have all white funriture, which my parents won't let me change!! UGH!!!

ive never done this before, so i need some help with colors and styles
the walls are white and the carpet is beige, and i can't paint the walls because im renting
since the walls and the floor are so plain, i want to add some color to my room, so ideas for colors and patterns of stuff (curtains, bedspreads, rugs, etc.) would be awesome

I'm leary about purchasing merchandise that I can't actually touch, I want to buy my wife this bedroom set. This is not exact but I thinks it's close to what she wanted. I found it on Overstock for a couple thousand dollars less.

They are both very nice. I prefer the first because I like the straighter lines, but both are excellent.

Overstock is a very reputable company, but make sure you do your homework. The most important thing you can do is read other users' reviews of the product you're looking at. The most common issue I've seen about furniture is that people claim the quality isn't very good - either that the item is made from particle board or some other inferior material, or that it's not well put-together.

I have also seen lots of people complain about damage in shipping, so be sure that if you do order something you look it over VERY carefully before you sign the shipping manifest. If you don't, and something is damaged, you're going to have a problem.

Finally, although Overstock only charges $2.95 for shipping, you should know that if you have to send something back then YOU will be responsible for those charges and they can be extremely expensive.

Keep in mind, though, that you should be fine as long as you do your homework. Overstock is a good company.
