Log cabin style bedroom set?

I'm looking for a log cabin style bedroom set. Me and my husband have been sleeping on a mattress and boxspring on the floor for long enough (ghetto I know). I went to The Roomstore and they had some sort of bedroom set that was supposed to look "rustic" and supposedly had a "log cabin feel", but it wasn't doing it for me. I want one that looks like actual logs. Does anyone know where I can buy a bedroom set like this? Have you seen it anywhere or do you have any online links?

Need help on Bedroom Set...bedding,furniture,etc?

I just moved into a new bedroom and need help decorating it. Nothing too complex but would like to know what color bedding, small furniture, computer desk, drawer to get.

My room has one burgandy colored wall and the rest of the 3 walls around the room are beige. The floor is made out of tan tiles.

I would like black,grey,charcoal like colors but from what i've heard its not going to look good at all and I heard colors like gold which I DONT want would go with it. Any ideas which colors would go with the burgandy and beige painted room?

Would you buy a mattress from craigslist?

My husband and I have a rather successful side project buying furniture for great deals on craigslist and then reselling them after minor repairs. We mostly stick to sectionals and couches but recently scored an entire bedroom set (king bed, 2 nightstands, dresser with mirror) for $300. The set itself is in great condition, its modern and sleek, no flaws and from Ashley home furniture. We can easily resell for $600 (we live in a large city). However, we also saw a posting for a newer mattress and bed spring set for $130 that they are selling due to moving. In your opinion- would you more likely buy a king bedroom set with mattress and box spring for $1000 or without for $600-800? Keep in mind this is craigslist and everything is always used. I appreciate your opinion.

I found a really nice bedroom set that is made of particle board. I've only owned real wood furniture but I love this bedroom set that I've found. What are the pros and cons of having particle board furniture in your home?

Particle board is not as strong as real wood. The laminate that they use to cover the particle board scratches and chips easily. Underneath the laminate does not look good, so when you scratch the laminate you will see the ugly particle board underneath it.

The pros of particle board are that it is cheaper than real wood. It is usually lighter that real wood. Finally, we have a particle board bedroom set. We've been waiting for all the negatives to appear on our bedroom set. We've been waiting for 7 years! We've moved 5 times. Our bedroom set has gone up and down 3 flights of stairs by movers and friends. We dont take very good care of it, and it has lasted forever. We're really sick of our bedroom set, but it just wont go bad. The worst that has happened is that one of the bottom drawers cracked. The part was actually thin solid wood. We have a few scratches, but nothing major. Good luck with whatever you choose.

What is the furniture from big manufacturers made out of?

Such as Crown Mark or Home Elegance... they manufacture bedroom sets for a low $599-$1299 and so on... how can they afford to do that? What is the quality of these sets? Is it worth paying $629 for a set?

We just bought our first home. We have been living in an apartment for quite some time so we already own most of the basic, furniture, large basic kitchen appliances, bedroom set, etc. We don't know what other things we will need in our new house. The only thing we could think of was a Lawn Mower.. WHAT ELSE!?!
My family has asked us to make a list. They insist on giving housewarming gifts and they want to know what we would need.

mower, edger, grass scissors.....hammer, nails, pliers, screwdrivers, flashlights, etc.... step ladder... stool ladder... construction trash bags.... buckets, mops, brooms for outside cleaning....
