How to paint my bedroom set black?

I have a bed, a dresser, a chest of drawers and an end table - they are already finished - This is a huge project that I want to do as efficiently as possible. Do I have to strip the lacquer or varnish (whatever makes it smooth)? If I just sand -- to what extent? What kind of paint? Please help!!!

Had a shop & painted quite a few bedroom suites.
If the existinfg finis is tight , no need to strip just clean. scuff lightly, fill dings.prime & paint.
Have answered this question a number of times , the same way
Search answers for details.
Basically use auto body painting techniques & materials.
Had spray equipment but auto spraycans are just fine.
Its the paint , not how it is sprayed on that matters.
The wet dry sanding between multiple thin coats of paint & final buffing is what gives the smooth finish.
Way back when would charge around $300 for a paintjob.
Guessing it will be about $50 or so for materials and quite a bit of your time to get really good results.

Nothing extremely expensive, but for some reason, black has my interest now, I searched on rooms2go and found nothing i really like, something that stands out is what im looking for, definetly wood, but dark/black.

What color walls for my bedroom with black furniture and chocolate brown bedding?

Q. We just got a new bedroom set and bedding but don't know what color to paint the walls. The furniture is a distressed black and the bedding is chocolate brown and cream. floor is neutral carpet. any suggestions? We had always thought we were going to paint the room a warm, dark color but with all of the dark furniture, I think it may be too much.

Go for a neutral tone to match bedding and floor,then have a dark feature on the wall/s.
A wall /or strip of dark paper , a large stencil , or a few large canvasses.
I have a similar theme in my bedroom and I did a strip of flocked black wallpaper behind my bed,with a strip of chocolate brown either side of it,lovely!

What curtains should i put so it matches with my purple wall?

Need decorating ideas for black bedroom furniture-please helpl?

Q. I have a small bedroom with a black bedroom set-queen bed, nightstand, dresser, and armoire. The walls are white with tan carpet. I went out and purchased a sateen black down comfort with a set of soft pink sheets but Im not sure Im going to be able to use it because there is just way way to much black. Can anyone suggest any ideas. Im just wanting a room that is pretty soft and romantic. I love the new furniture but I dont have any idea on how to decorate with it. Im not a "red" person, its never been one of my favorite colors. Any ideas on whether i should return the comforter and sheets and start over? I have no accents pieces yet so Im starting fresh.

A. pink works with black, tan works with pink, but I am not sure if you want to try all three. Maybe pull back on the pink to small items like alarm clock, bookends and such. Tan or white would be the best bet for the rest of the room. If you can paint, try a tan for 3 walls, leave 1 white and any trim white( paint is cheap and if you are renting be sure to ask first).You may want to use a throw blanket and some light decorative pillows on top of the bed to break up the black and try table runners or doylies on top of your cases. But if you are tight on money, Return the comforter and sheets to try something different.Maybe plain black and white will be pleasing, kinda go art-deco.
