I am looking for affordable one way truck rental from Toronto to Calgary any advise?

Q. I am moving from Toronto to Calgary I am planning to move my Queen size bedroom set and Sofa.
I am not sure which company would be the best is it Uhaul or any other suggestions please thank you.

A. Fro that shipment you will probably pay far too much using a U-haul and drive yourself. They are pretty expensive. You can of course look up their web-site and calculate the cost for yourself.

Why not call up any of the major shipping firms and talk to their estimator. You will probably get a much better price from them. They all offer less-than-carload rates for smaller shipments.

But, in all fairness, do you REALLY want to move any furniture at all. Do consider what you can sell them for on www.kijiji.ca or www.craigslist.com - perhaps your income, minus cost of buying new furniture is less than the cost of moving. Then, no worries about breakage and you start off with brand new furniture in Calgary. Even if new furniture costs a little more, you start off with new stuff...!


How much does it cost to move to California from Florida?
Q. I'm moving to California and I would like to know how much it costs to move a queen size bedroom set and a car :)

A. If you rent a UHaul and tow the car you can do it for much less than a moving company will charge. It's not difficult (except for the driving part). It will run you about $1200 for a truck and car tow.


What is a reasonable price for a used bedroom set?
Q. My husband and I have an old oak bedroom set, still in pretty good condition, that we are wanting to sell in our neighborhood garage sale. It would be a dresser with a large mirror, a tall dresser (has some slight damage on the top in the back, it is difficult to see, the damage is above eye level) a night stand and a queen size bed frame. We have different ideas about what is a good price to ask for it. Any thoughts?

A. If it were perfect and rather new, I'd say about 40% of the original price. Since, it's not perfect, and I don't know the quality or brand name, how about 20% of the original price - cash, no delivery.


what is a good website to find bedroom collections/sets?
Q. I am right now 12, but i am using my cousins account. But anyways, i need a new bedroom set/collection because my twin sized bed isn't big enough for me. Where is a good website where i can find full/queen sized bed made out of wood. I have checked Macy's and i have found some pretty nice beds, but i want to compare. I don't care if they are cheap or expensive because the quality is what my mom wants for me.

What is the best place to get inexpensive furniture at in Southern California? Besides Ikea.?

Q. I want to get my boys a new bedroom set, I do not like the wood colors, the tree brown woods and I don't want to spend alot of money since they will grew out of it in a few years. I've been to Ikea but am looking for alternative options. I tried easy life, and am trying to make it out to Easy living in Rancho Cucamunga,,any other options?

A. go to craigslist.org and click on your state and city and then do a search and you find people locally that have bedroom stuff for dirt cheap and it is nice too.


What are some good ideas for a boy's and girl's crib bedding set?
Q. I have a boy who's 18 months and a girl who's 3 months. They will be sharing a room, and I wanted to decorate their rooms as a set. For instance, my husband and I thought of Peter Pan & Tinkerbell, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Dora & Diego, Princess & Prince, or Princess & Knights/Dragons. I'm still undecided and would like some suggestions. Let me know your opinions, and if you can think of any more boy & girl bedroom sets please let me know. Thank you!

A. How about something that would work with both..bumble bees/nature that sort of thing to have a calmer looking room.

I need help for my bedroom?
Q. I recently moved, and got my mother's old bedroom suite instead of the small bedroom set I had before.
I'm a fourteen-year-old girl, and a prep. I'm sick of the guys that come over avoiding my pink[now brown] room.
For one wall, I'm redoing my dedication wall. This has a white shelf ontop of it, and my walls need to stay white. The pictures & posters on this wall are going to be in black & white.
Should I do all of my room black and white [keeping in mind I have alot of boys over] and add red, or should I use another color scheme. I still want my wall, though.
Any ideas of what all I should do?
BTW. my favorite colors are lime green, hot pink, red, aqua, orange, and I still like black and white. My dresser & hutch are an oak color with gold on them.

if you are in the fort worth texas area do you know of a cheap place to buy furniture?
Q. We all need new bedroom sets. Me and boyfriend and two boys who share a room. Does anyone know where a cheap one is in fort worth that would possibly deliver and has good furniture

A. Your local Salvation Army Store might have what You need...- but I doubt they Deliver... :(
